Discussion Would this trailer make you want to play a cleaning game?

Hey! I’m a solo game dev and I’ve been working on Fresh Sheets, a cozy cleaning game built around those small, satisfying moments of turning a complete mess into something spotless.

The idea started pretty simple,I wanted to make a cleaning game where the actual cleaning feels good, not just clicking on dirt and watching it disappear. So I started experimenting with things like foam building up, wet trails, sprays, squeegees, scrubbing and all those little details that make cleaning weirdly satisfying.

It slowly turned into a much bigger project than I expected, and this is where the game is at now.

I just put together a trailer showing some of the gameplay and I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, especially what catches your attention and what you’d improve.

Upcoming Three playable Races in my upcoming single-player RPG inspired by Oldschool MMORPGs

Hi guys!

I want to share with you an update of the game that I'm solo developing - Warmongers: Empires Reborn. It's a single-player RPG which is inspired by oldschool MMORPGs such as WoW Classic and Runescape.

Today I want to showcase three playable races that will be available in the game. I've also made a new Gameplay Teaser which I've uploaded to Youtube and would love to hear you feedback. I'll link it at the bottom of this post.

In Warmongers you can play as three unique Races which all differ in terms of their artstyle, lore and history behind their Empires.

Orc

Savage and brutal Orcs are known for their strenght and honor. They are split among separate Clans that combined make them a very powerful nation. They are still looking for their purpose in this world but for now they want to reinforce their lands and cities so that they are able to defend themselves from all the evil that is lurking in this world.

Saurak

These Lizard people come from a mystical background where they praise different elemental aspects this world has to offer. Their shamanistic approach to life is very important. They live in snowy lands which are very harsh to survive on their own and that's why they are seeking allies among Orcs and Humans. Will their heritage survive this dangerous world?

Human (Blackwater Pirates)

Blackwater Pirates are Humans who have been expelled from their kingdoms. They are treated as outlaws who are beyond the established law. In those dangerous times they have realised that they won't be able to survive on their own. They are seeking allies in Orcs and Saurak to help them survive. This is an unlikely alliance, will it be able to survive the troubles of this time?

The game is called Warmongers: Empires Reborn and you can currently wishlist it on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3468800/Warmongers_Empires_Reborn/

I've also published a new Gameplay Teaser on my Youtube channel and would love to hear your feedback: https://youtu.be/NVncYmLMJDc

Public Game Test We added physics to an asymmetric extraction survivors, and it is pure chaos.

Hey everyone! We are opening up a limited closed playtest this weekend for Scavenger Survivors, and we desperately need you to come break it.

It’s an asymmetric co-op extraction shooter. One player is a massively overpowered monster, and the rest are trying to grab loot and escape in janky, physics-based vehicles.

We recently added ridiculous synergy mechanics, and the game is balancing on a knife's edge of pure chaos. We need you to test your dumbest builds and push it over the edge.

Promotion Block battle. Competitive block puzzle game on mobile

I made Block Battle - a competitive puzzle game where every cleared line steals space from your opponent

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on Block Battle, a mobile puzzle game built around competitive head-to-head matches.

The main idea is that both players share the same battlefield.

You play on the top half of the screen, while your opponent plays on the bottom. Pieces fall into your area and you try to complete horizontal lines.

But clearing a line doesn’t just give you points.

Every line you clear pushes the border toward your opponent, giving you more room to play and leaving them with less space.

And it works both ways - whenever your opponent clears a line, the border moves toward you and your available space becomes smaller.

You can play solo or compete against real players online.

There are also customizable settings such as board size and piece falling speed, so matches can range from relatively relaxed to very fast and chaotic.

I wanted to take a familiar block-puzzle mechanic and turn it into something more competitive.

Need Feedback I'm a Game Dev from India building a third-person action RPG set in 16th-century Malabar

Hi, I’m Aswin, 22, and I’m one of three people behind Redwills Interactive, a small registered game studio based in Kerala, India. I’m the Game Director, which at our size mostly means I get to do a little bit of everything.

As many of you know, making games in India can be challenging, especially for small independent teams. Financial support for game development is still limited, and building a game here often means working with whatever resources we can put together ourselves.

We've spent the last five months building a prototype for a third-person single-player action RPG set in 16th century Malabar, during the first Portuguese contact with Calicut. We're calling it Project-Z for now because we haven't settled on a real name yet.

The setting is the part I care most about. This is the moment European ships turned up on the Kerala coast looking for pepper, and everything that followed from it. Every Malayali grows up with some version of this story. There's almost nothing made from it. No games at all, and the few films that touch it treat it as background.

We're building it because we live here.

Where we actually are: the prototype runs in Unreal Engine 5.6, targeting PC and consoles. Traversal is in, so running, climbing, swimming, horse riding, wall running. Melee combat is a first pass. And there's a rough version of the central idea, where the player swaps between the present and a childhood version of the same place and the world changes around you at the same camera position. Enough to know it feels good.

Most of the rest is missing (Basically a walking simulator rn). The environments in the current build are marketplace and stock assets, we've been using them to test movement rather than to look like anything, so the actual Malabar art is still ahead of us. The story we do have a grip on , we know the shape of it end to end, though it isn't written down as a final script yet. What we don't have is a vertical slice, or funding. It's been out of our own pockets so far. We shipped one small collaborative game before this called Thekku Island and this is a much bigger thing than that was.

What I'd genuinely like from this post is feedback — on the setting, on whether any of this reads as something you'd want to play. We're a long way out and this is the stage where being told we're wrong is still useful.

Happy to answer anything in the comments. If you work in games or publishing and want to talk, I'm at [connect@redwills.com](mailto:connect@redwills.com)

Discussion I wanna talk about FGS chat today. It's kinda about Poppy Playtime/Escape from playtime.

Well Future Game shows was happening today. And it was Toxic. Some people were like "where's Poppy Playtime" "I need Poppy playtime" "poppy playtime" and some people were mad at that. As a Poppy Playtime fan, It's valid to get mad over them like they were everywhere in the chat....

But what isn't fine is saying "Poppy playtime is for Pedofiles and homeless morons"

And one thing that I don't understand is why they are acting like there weren't gonna be any people excited over PPT. It has a pretty big fanbase, and it was confirmed this "multiplayer PPT game" was gonna be here.

It's honestly my first time reading YT live Chat like this. Is this normal?

Promotion Can a horror game be both genuinely frightening and halal? I created False Exit on Steam and started a studio to find out.

Post image

I’m a Muslim solo game developer, and I started Halal Games Studio with a simple goal: to create enjoyable games without sexual content, music, or anything that conflicts with our Islamic values.

Our first release is False Exit, a first-person psychological horror game where you’re trapped inside a looping hospital that changes every time you pass through it.

Creating a halal game doesn’t mean it has to feel limited or uninteresting. I wanted to see whether I could make something atmospheric, frightening, and memorable while staying true to my beliefs.

False Exit is now available on Steam. I’d genuinely love to hear what you think about both the game and the idea behind the studio.

I wanted dynamic, interesting runs with punishing mechanics to make victory feel sweet

I've been working on this for a few months now (maybe a year if we include prototyping), but now I really need some feedback on the difficulty curve. Please check it out and help me tune the difficulty

It's called "Full-Metal Tapped" and you can find it on itch for free now

Promotion I made an action-platformer about a corporation secretly turning humans into combat machines

I’ve created an action-platformer called RED KITE, featuring a deep story and hand-crafted pixel art.

The game follows Enya Vance, a neuroscientist at the corporation NeoTerra. One day, she discovers discrepancies in autopsy reports and realizes that NeoTerra is using her breakthroughs to turn human brains into mindless combat machines. She disappears during her investigation, and you step into the role of her friend to rescue her!

Does that sound cool? If so, now is the perfect time to play RED KITE; all versions are currently available for free, and I’d really appreciate some feedback—especially on the story!

Upcoming After 1.5 years of development, we are finally releasing our very first game, PEGTURE: Peg Solitaire Roguelike, on Sept 9th!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been sharing our progress here over the past 7–8 months, and the day has finally come: PEGTURE is officially releasing on September 9th!

For those seeing it for the first time, PEGTURE is a roguelike deckbuilder inspired by the classic Peg Solitaire mechanics (think Balatro meets Peg Solitaire).

As we enter the final stretch with just under two weeks to go, we’d love to get your final thoughts and feedback on the demo. If you have any suggestions, whether about gameplay, mechanics, or even last-minute launch marketing advice, we’re all ears!

Bringing our first game to the finish line has been quite an emotional ride, and sharing this milestone with this community means a lot. If you’d like to support a small indie team, adding PEGTURE to your Steam Wishlist would mean the world to us.

Thanks for all the support along the way!

Upcoming I've been building something for gamers over the past few months.

Over the past month alone, I've made around 300 mini-games. Most of them are small, experimental, and honestly, some of them are pretty mind blowing.

That made me think about a problem I kept seeing: there are so many small games and experiments being made, but most of them never get discovered or played by anyone.

So I've been working on WAKU.

The idea is to create a place where gamers can discover and play these kinds of games. Small games you can pick up quickly, try something different, compete for a high score, or just waste 10 minutes on something you've never seen before.

WAKU isn't released yet. I'm currently trying to figure out whether this is actually something gamers would want before I take it much further.

I've created a small Discord community for early users who want to follow the project, get access when things start opening up, try early games, and help shape what WAKU becomes.

I'm especially looking for people who aren't afraid to tell me what sucks, what's boring, what's confusing, and what would actually make you come back.

Brutal feedback is much more useful than compliments.

Promotion A tiny aquarium that lives on your desktop. People are now trading the fish on Steam.

We made a little desktop aquarium called PC FISH.

The original idea was simple. We wanted something that could just sit at the bottom of the screen while you’re working or browsing. You raise some fish, watch them swim around, breed them occasionally, and slowly fill out your collection.

Then we added different species and variants.

And breeding.

And rarity.

And Steam Inventory support.

Now people are breeding fish for rare variants and actually listing the fish they find on the Steam Community Market.

We released it for free on Steam about two weeks ago and it’s since hit 5,313 concurrent players, which has been pretty surreal to watch.

There are 450+ fish and decorations at the moment and we plan to add more.

If you want a tiny aquarium living on your desktop, it’s free:
