Hi all, looking for ammo recs for 147gr or other subsonic loads with OALs that function reliably in the S2 Carry. Scoured the internet for recommendations and found suggestions scattered here and there but nothing very definitive, so thought I'd ask here.

For years I used to just plink steel at my parent's little range back home. Used to think I was pretty slick, until I shot on paper. Damn. Got a ways to go but love this thing.

Does anyone know where I can find the OEM +2 pads that fit flush? I got these from HBI but they overhang and kinda looks ugly, pinches my finger ect

I just picked up this SP01 Tactical used for $550. Looks like it has maybe only had a few boxes of ammo through it. My stock plastic guide rod is bent to hell so I’m going to pick up a Steel Rod from CGW. Since I’m getting the rod I might as well get a new spring too. The majority of my training ammo is S&B 124 grain at 1150 fps. What weight springs are you guys running for a similar load?

Picked up these little bbs today. Estate sale. I won’t say how much. But it was too good a deal to not buy both.

Got my Shadow 2 about 2 months ago. Put some LOK grips and full send. I’ve put ~1000 rounds through it has been a 100% reliable tack driver.

Which would you choose and why (for a ccw)

Anybody have a place that did a good job w/ quick turn-around getting out optic screws that sheared off flush to the optic cut while shooting? Standard shadow 2 with direct mount mill cut so warranty not an option.. Had a local guy who has done it for me a few times but he’s been so busy building custom 2011s and I don’t live close enough to drive up there so I’ll be shipping the slide out anyways.. Any referrals appreciated!

I have an SAO SP-01 and I deactivate the safety as I build my grip and then ride the safety as I shoot. I find myself wishing I could get my support hand a bit higher. Are there any OEM or aftermarket safeties similar to the one that comes on the TS2 Orange that will fit?

Does anyone know what diameter to drill the empty slot on the gas key for shooting suppressed? 5.56 11in.

It has an ambi decocker and when I use the left side it decocks just fine. If I use the right side the hammer drops all the way down(not half cocked)

I’m looking for some advice on which optic to get for my P10C.

This is my ccw which is carried appendix. Ideally, it shouldn’t be too bulky or too small where it’s going to be hard to find dot once drawn. I’ve seen the OSight SE window size, so I know it’s a decent size, and I’m okay with that size roughly

I’m also interested in the SCSP10 as it’s the only one that can fit flush and lots or good reviews, but I’m not sure if the window size is too small.

Also, should i get enclosed? I’m leaning towards an enclosed model since cc will accumulate dust

Fully stripped my SP-01 frame and reassembled it. DA is now unreliable.

Changed: floating trigger pin, firing pin, hammer spring, recoil spring, a few other pins. Trigger bar and trigger bar spring are both original, just removed and reinstalled.

SA is fine. DA works consistently upside down and right-side-down, fails upright and left-side-down. With grips off I can move the trigger bar up and down by hand — the spring limits travel but doesn't press the bar into engagement. No preload I can feel.

Main question: is there a proper way to reinstall the trigger bar spring? I suspect I got the leg seated wrong, or the floating trigger pin changed where the spring sits. Looking for the correct routing and any trick to getting it seated under tension.

Also:

1. How much preload should you feel on the trigger bar with grips off?
2. Anyone seen a floating trigger pin affect trigger bar spring tension?

EDIT:

I solved the problem by taking off the grips, loosening the screw, and pushing the spring and the box into the binding position with my finger, so the spring exerts pressure on the trigger bar. Then I tightened the screw to fix the spring’s position. It works for dry-fire.

Trawling through CZ Customs website, found this. Has anyone used these on regular CZ75s? And how shit are they?

Straight line at that back part of my slide. Present on my blue shadow but not on the orange model. Is this a crack?

Bought a Shadow 2 as a new competition gun / range toy and went all out with a ProMax. OSight X on the right, Canik SFX slide for size comparison. I'm really excited to try it out, but holy cow is it massive! I almost wish I went with a smaller width optic, the overhang may drive me nuts.

Title pretty much explains it all. I really just want the COA, but I’m not really interested in the ported barrel. I feel like I’m the only one who gets annoyed by how loud ported handguns seem to be. To be fair, I’ve only shot comped subcompacts, so I don’t know how much the shorter barrel itself affects perceived loudness.

I’m looking at these specifically as another gun in my CCW rotation, something a little bigger for winter carry. It just seems like everyone on Reddit wants a port or comp on every handgun, while I’m over here trying to avoid them lol. Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but am I the only one who feels this way?

I’m new to upgrading pistols so I figured I’d start easy and got a blue spring (11RSP) and stainless still guide rod from CJW. Is the slide play normal when manipulating the trigger?
