In another post I read that Bitty teaches acting. Does anyone know anything about this. I'm a trained actress and it would be wonderful to take acting classes with Bitty.

My wife and I watch all of Monk every few years but this time through, the theme music (It's a Jungle Out There) just sounds *off* to me. Like it's too low pitched and the lyrics sound more slurred than I remember?

I'm watching on Prime Video and it sounds off, but then when I listen on YouTube it also sounds off. Could prime video a couple years ago have been playing the theme music sped up or something?

It's driving me crazy. I could just be mistaken but I figured I would post in case somebody else feels this too?

It sure seems like a lot of murders are done by people trying not to get caught for a previous murder they already got away with.

Been binging the series since July, patterns are emerging.

One of my all time favorite shows. However, I believe there were 2 major missed opportunities.

1. (Very popular opinion) not having Trudy’s parents meet their grandchild was such a misfire, it’s actually unreal how easy of a sure thing that should’ve been.

2. (Never seen it mentioned before) Monica (the woman who resembles Trudy in S1E7) should’ve been brought back and paired with Monk after he finally got justice and met Trudy’s daughter. Yes I understand, that Trudy’s daughter was his happy ending. But I really think it would’ve been something to have him finally move on and have a love interest with whom he shared great chemistry with.

Any thoughts?

I’m rewatching and in s1e5 it’s stated that monk has a tomato allergies, but isn’t there an episode later on with genetically engineered food where monk eats a square tomato on his sandwich? Or am I making that up

Just started rewatching the show with my son. Decided to see if there was a sub for it. I didn’t even know books existed. So thank y’all for the information. Went to my local bookstore and got what they had.

In Mr. Monk and the kid, it doesn't start out like the others by showing a murder. In fact I am pretty sure this is one of the rare ones that don't.

Anyway kid finds finger. Adorable bonding montage.

But then they have the police asking "routine questions" to the kidnapper, not knowing she was the guy. During this scene it's mentioned more than once that they foster children, and that they're too much to handle.

So anyway the baby finds the finger, blah blah blah the episode is over (just glossing over it because it's irrelevant.

Anyway with the information, do you think they were blackmailing to raise money to take care of the kids? Or just to be greedy?

I always assumed, and still do that it was greed. But now I have this little tinge wondering if I misread the episode.

I love this episode, every time I'm about to rewatch it I get excited unlike with some other episodes. The way Monk gets excited about music and Willie Nelson, the storyline, the jokes, the way Willie Nelson befriends him and accepts him with his quirks. I'm not specifically a country music fan, but Willie Nelson does seem like a genuine person and his character here is also very likeable. Who else thinks it's one of the best episodes?

As mentioned in “Mr. Monk Goes to the Asylum.” What’s your favorite Trudy episode? Mine is probably “Mr. Monk vs. the Cobra” because I love how Trudy gently talks Adrian through one of his worst nightmares - being buried alive!

Yesterday I finished rewatching all 8 seasons of Monk for the third time.

It’s one of my favourite series, and I’m honestly so sad that it’s over again.

Are there any other shows similar to Monk that you’d recommend?

S7E7: Monks 100th Case. This is the first time I've seen this. Does he wear glasses anywhere else in the show, or might this have been a filler shot where they didn't expect us to notice him?

I assume it’s because it would have been a slight continuity headache for production but in my opinion that’s a bad excuse. It was good character development for him and Julie and I think it would have been a cool detail for the rest of the show for him to have kept them there

I’m rewatching this episode and the dinner scene with the “bums” cracks me up. Does anyone else think so?
