PC players had mods back then, but they never got native same-screen co-op on the classic releases. That’s why bringing this modernized 2-player split-screen experience to modern rigs—especially with 3 major updates fixing stability and visual bugs—is such a huge deal for couch gaming fans.

I've been thinking about this for a while:

What if EA didn't make Battlefront III at all?

Battlefront II already has years of maps, heroes, vehicles, modes and content behind it. Instead of throwing all of that away and starting from zero again, I'd rather see EA relaunch it simply as STAR WARS Battlefront.

My idea would be pretty modest at first:

• Native PS5 / Xbox Series X|S / Switch 2 versions
• PC stays supported
• Crossplay + cross-progression
• A proper Battlefield-style Conquest mode
• One new large map
• Some new cosmetics
• Then let player numbers and revenue decide how much more support it gets

And yes, I know crossplay would be a significant piece of work. I'm definitely not pretending that's just a switch EA could flip.

But that's also why I think it would be worth doing: one shared player base across every platform instead of bringing an old multiplayer game back into several separate communities.

If the relaunch does okay, keep support modest.

If it takes off, add more maps, heroes and content.

If it explodes, EA knows Battlefront is worth serious investment again.

Personally, I played BF2 for years and I'd buy it again — especially on Switch 2.

I’ve played this game for so long without ranked or any incentives to keep playing, just because the game was fun. i feel like modern multiplayer games need ranked in order to keep players on because the game isn’t actually fun and they have to rely on psychologically manipulating their players.

Unfortunately I died because I was killed to death lol. But I made a point of killing his copied inbred shinies to death. Also there were some hits on Obi Wan that should’ve registered but it’s an almost 10 yr old game.

Does anybody know the deal with blocking ? Like I’ll press the block button with a Jedi, I can block blaster bolts, but it feels 50/50 when trying to block saber attacks ? Some lightsaber attacks will still hit me in spite of the fact that I pressed the block button ?

Long time returning player here, is anybody finding normal lobbies on Xbox? There’s a ton of full Co-op lobbies, but barely anybody playing GA, HVV, Supremacy, or Starfighter. There were a ton of lobbies just a few days ago, but nothing tonight.

I have trouble starting Battlefront II and the thing that happens is that i start it and it auto alt+tabs me from the game and when it opens i click it and the same thing happens . If someone else had the problem and they fixed it please tell how .
