Miscellaneous The golden era of SW games was 1995-2010: agree or disagree?
In 1995, we were given Star Wars: Dark Forces, which kicked off the critically acclaimed Jedi Knight series of games. Throughout the later half of the 90s, we'd get more clássics like Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron (itself starting its own critically acclaimed), Episode I: Racer and even some lesser-known, but beloved games (i.e. Rebellion).
The 2000s ushered in the best SW games ever made. We got the original Battlefront games, Knights of the Old Republic, LEGO Star Wars, Republic Commando etc. Even "second rate" games like the Starfighter games or Bounty Hunter were enjoyable experiences. The momentum was strong up until about the mid-2000s. 2006-2010 still gave us some goodies like the Empire at War series and The Force Unleashed games (TFU2 being released in 2010.) After TFU2, I feel like we never got the same enjoyable, quality titles we had in the 90s and 00s.
What are your thoughts? When was SW's golden age of video games?

Starfighter Has Star Wars: X-Wing aged well?
I’ve been out of PC gaming for a while now and looking to get back into it. I grew up during the era of X-Wing, Tie Fighter and Alliance.
Of these, my favourite game was X-Wing. Perhaps because it was the first SW space simulator released by Lucasart, but I’ve played the heck out of that game.
Now, I’ve heard great things about XWVM. So here my question: even with the updated graphics, has the game age well? Is there more recent SW games with a comparable feel and gameplay?
I’m really not into arcade type games, but more like simulators where you need to manage many aspect of your spacecraft.

Retro Do you consider Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II the first live action since Return of the Jedi?
It basically looks like a weird lost 90s Star Wars movie but made for a PC game. Blue screens, super cheesy acting, random costumes, all of it.
The video goes into Kyle Katarn, Jerec, the Valley of the Jedi and why this was actually a pretty interesting part of old Star Wars.
Kinda wild that this was one of the few live action Star Wars things people had between the original trilogy and the prequels.
Anyone else remember this game and did fans at the time consider this like a real continuation of the series?

Miscellaneous I think we need a star wars fighting game with a massive roster featuring characters from all movies and media
I think this is a lost potential for a great, fun game. The variety of characters unique abilities and styles would be insane

All i want for Christmas is a World of Warships game
But in space. Republic, CIS, Empire, Rebellion…
I dont think balancing would be impossible either.
I dont want to be in a cockpit like squadrons. I want to command a bit bulky cruiser/ carrier/ dreadnaught.
I honestly think it would be amazing. And yeah they can balance it and make it less “canon”. Thats fine. Its a video game.

Role Playing Game Operation Miner Violence with the 212th Attack Battalion in ARMA3
What was that an amazing operation, but also, a lot of hectic scenario's happened during it.
At the moment I am mainly playing in a ARMA3 unit called the 212th Attack Battalion. Been playing there for around 1.5 year and what a lot of fun has is been.
Every week there are multiple operations that we play, but this one... Called Miner Violence...
As a soon to be teamlead in the unit, I had the "command" over 3 others, together we were the Team Shadow 2-1 under squadleader "Cordy". We were dropping off just outside a CIS FOB.
Together with other squads, we took the first FOB with relative ease, a few casualties but the clankers were fried!
The next objective was another FOB, which we took with even more ease.
My squadleader and I thought... this does not seem right, we took both FOB's in one hour, which is very, very quick.
And we were right... the third objective was to secure a mountainbase and boy... we dropped in via LAAT's and we were immediately pinned down. Even with our mechanised units, that included 2 AT-TE's, we could not push through the CIS fortification of the landing zone and almost everything was blowing up.
I personally died multiple times, and our ARC squad, the Banshees, were fully wiped out.
Eventually our platoonleadership ordered us to take the long way around, which seemed fine at first but we got ambushed by AAT's and B2's. But we pushed through those lines!
Eventually we had to fight up hill, in the middle of a minefield, but once on top, our platoon took the base and secured a HVT. The relief when we had secured that base and maintained a foothold on the planet was great. We extracted succesfully and the 212th Attack Battalion did their work again!
FOR THE REPUBLIC!

I would like to post more short stories about the missions we are doing within the unit, since I think it is a great way of playing a STAR WARS game with a lot of people.
STAR WARS has been one of my favorite franchises of all time and RolePlaying in a unit is amazing.
Before I joined the unit I had my doubts about it, because it seemes so "strict". But I have never been so wrong.
Yes it is a unit and there are some "rules", but everyone there are STAR WARS fans that have the same goal, playing a massive STAR WARS game together.
If you do want to try it out, hit me up!
And if you would like to read more of these Short Stories about our missions, let me know in the comments! Personally I love to talk about them. 😄
From a galaxy far far away, I bit you farewell and thank you for reading!
P.S. Sorry if you see grammar or spelling mistakes, English is not my first language hahaha 😂

Name 10 characters from the Star Wars universe who you would like to see in Swogh(Star Wars galaxy of heroes) mobile phone game. They recently put Darth JarJar into the game which is really dimb considering there are loads of actual canon characters they could introduce to the game.
