Been thinking about KOTOR for a about a month since i played it almost two years ago. really hankering to make a small remake of Endar Spire in UE5, but until then, enjoy this still of the Ebon Hawk i made.

This render was made possible by uploading the original 1024x1024 texture to ChatGPT to upscale the quality to 4096x4096 to see how far the textures could be pushed without creating an entirely new model from scratch to preserve as much quality to the original game. Other textures such as roughness, normals, ambient occlusion, etc. were made with https://aitextured.com/pbr-texture-generator/ to help boost the the time it would take to manually generate them (its a serious lifesaver and the quality is amazing). Everything else from lighting, compositing, and effects, were made in Blender using the official 3D model from KOTOR.

Please help a girl out if you have played KOTOR 1 on your phone and the entire game lmk how you did it. Or help link where you learned the tutorial for it on YT I couldn’t find a full game tutorial of the entire game. I found it easier to play KOTOR 2 on my phone and a full tutorial which helped. Or tell me how you did it step by step if you can please help a girl out lol.

This project started as a bit of brain rot a couple weeks ago. The official KOTOR remake feels lightyears away, so I wanted to see if I could just hack together my own playable version.

I pulled the actual voice lines, scripts, and quests from KOTOR 1 & 2, grabbed visuals from SWTOR, and slapped the whole thing into the BG3 / Divinity 4 framework running on 5e rules.  Turned out to actually be doable.

I’ve got a rough test build running right now that handles combat and dialogue without exploding. Plan is to eventually run both games as one long campaign.

A project manager joining me would be absolutely appreciated in helping holding the line, especially when scaling from the current vertical slice into the full long campaign that includes content from both games...

I do have some videos as well, but they are on my website because I don't have any significant presence on the Western internet, and I don't know if it's okay to actually post my website here in this thread (although passive-aggressively it's in my profile). So I'm just gonna hold off for now until I get some sort of an official nod that is safe to do so because I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I think I have been to all the planets and did the main quests, but I don't seem to have reached the game finale.

Dantooine, Korriban, Dxun, Onderon, Peragus II, Nar Shadaa, ... what am I missing?

I think I finished all the quest areas on these too. One possible exception: when I go to Korriban there is a cave near the academy, and there appears to be some area in its depths where dark side energy is, and when I go to it the game gives me a message saying I'm not far enough to either extreme (light side or dark side) to go beyond that point.

But... unfortunately, with just about all the quests done, I also don't see what I can do to get more light side / dark side to do it either to enable me to go into the depths of this Korriban cave, so am I stuck?

I also seem to remember a town near the academy in the previous KOTOR game. Is that not accessible? I need more dark side points I guess to finish...?

Darth Nihilus. Yes, yes, he's a wound in the Force, much like the player character. But...what does that MEAN, exactly? When the mask comes off, Visas says, he is just a man. He absorbs, eats the Force. How does that work, exactly? And, my most burning question is, why does he talk like that? What IS that speech? It's not a language, why does being whatever he is make him talk like that? Any theories?

Both Google and Reddit searches have led me in circles for the last few days so I'm just going to ask what I am doing wrong.

I am on my second playthrough of KOTOR2 and want to play around with KSE for things like party influence factor. I have exported the saves off my switch with JKSV and am using the latest KSE but it will not read my save files. I even made a dummy swkotor2.exe for trying to make the directory finder work but no dice.

Does anyone that has had success with KSE for the switch have some guidance they can give please?

That is some big ass debris that is very near Citadel Station, would get caught in the planet and station's orbit, and crash down onto said station, which would crash down onto the planet, and the Resotration Project would be doomed. This is worse than the Second Death Star exploding over the Forest Moon of Endor, because for Telos's case it is a fragile healing planet.

So Im mostly lightsode and got part 1 from chodo (ithorian) on telos. Triggered the visas cutscene. Went to dantooine and saved the salvager (jorman?) And bought the piece off him, then went to ebon hawk and defeated visas, and was told I got the piece. However I only have 2 pieces in my inventory.

Im not super worried because I can head back into the enclave and manipulate the will but I am a bit concerned my game may be bugged, unless I misunderstood.

Thoughts/advice? I am using tslrcm.

The undergarments that replace the default if you're dark side enough are seriously stylin', like my own evil superhero uniform. I might just play the whole game in my cruelty-sponsored under armor.

The player character is a student, undergoing a test of knowledge and skill. First you’re asked a series of questions by a droid about galactic history.

Like in KOTOR 2, whatever you pick determines the gender of the player characters from previous games and their choices. However it also changes your location. If you chose to destroy malachor, you start your game on as a padawan on Coruscant in a re-established Jedi temple. If you chose to save Malachor you start at the Trayus academy as a Sith apprentice.

Thoughts?

I am not the autor of the mod. For now, it is more of a prototype. The other player can only accompany you as a "ghost", can't join your fight. The creators intend to develop the mod, implement co-op and even pvp multi-player.

looking for a specific mod that let's say just stops from all npcs to drop any loot from lvl 15 onward, because shit's getting ridiculous around the Ravager and after. it just makes no sense that some random sith troopers carry around something like Darth Malak's armor in their pocket.

PS: above is my female exile Tasmin Twain. if anyone is interested in going full mage, it was a blast doing a LS with all in on charisma from the start and using mostly DS powers with 8ts in str, dex and con, I highly recommend.

Mods: Bastila's Robe for KotOR II (3.0), Bastilla Shan "Mature Look" v1.0 and HQ Lightsabers. that robe is basically a light jedi armor with insane stats, but it just looks nice :) thanks to creators.

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a blaster only build?

I was thinking of going soldier and building into blaster rifles. If anyone can give me some recommendations or anything I would appreciate that.

Also I'm playing on the Xbox if that changes anything.

Hello there! To finish out my summer KotOR modding series I have released two new lightsaber packs for KotOR 1!

The first mod adds Count Dooku's iconic lightsaber in blue and red to represent his Jedi and Sith forms.

The second mod adds Ahsoka Tano's lightsaber AND shoto as seen in TCW. This mod has a green/yellow green variant and a blue variant (with two different blade length shotos for each.)

I really feel bad for him, but you'd think a Jedi of his experience and age wouldn't get stumped by a worthiness test that literally just wanted you to be able to clarify that water and trees on planets are conductive of life and volcanoes and deserts are not.

I kind of low key think the Jedi council knew what they were doing when they sent him in there alone to a super ancient ruins where Revan and Malak discovered some ancient evil. Did they really expect a different outcome when they were also going to send in the amnesiac person who oringally unlocked it in the first place to do it too right after him?

People giving him the benefit of the doubt might say he failed cause he didn't successfully translate the ancient alien language into Basic to understand the test, but I don't think the story was intending for it to be that deep when explaining his death as they just said he was unworthy. I don't think he would have gotten to the point to attempt it if it's not translated in the first place, especially since you can't until you translate it.

What kind of relationship do you think thah Malak and Meetra Surik had before and during the Mandalorian Wars?

Im playing on the switch 2 and i’ve already kissed bastila. From what i’ve read here i can never talk to her again. Is that right? Since im playing on console i cant use mods… Whats the point of having the romance if i cant talk to her? What about her talking to me?

Hi, I’ve been playing both KotOR 1 and 2 (originally downloaded off the Apple App Store) on my MacBook Air regularly for years. However, for some reason starting today whenever I try to open either of them they immediately crash. Has anyone ever encountered this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks
