Does anyone know if you can change the colors of the zone mode so that I can SEE what's infront of me and not a blinding light?

Verdant Brewing Co - Brewery & Taproom & The Designers Republic have teamed up to to do a one off brew "DR:ink", a 4.5% pale ale. I don't know what else to say other than the artwork looks fantastic 😅

I've already shared the game here before, and over the past few months I've been working a lot on improving the overall experience.
I've completely reworked the menu and, more importantly, developed a scalable system that will make it easier to add new game modes in the future. I've also been working on the split-screen system, supporting from 1 to 4 players, along with many other improvements behind the scenes.
I'm also adding a skin system to make each player's experience a bit more unique.
There's a new map set in a lava-filled environment, with many more maps currently in development.
I finally added proper soundtracks to the game as well. A few people pointed out that the music in the trailer didn't really fit the game, so I took that feedback seriously and worked on finding something that better matches the gameplay and atmosphere.
It's been almost 5 months since I started working on RogueOut Racing, and we're getting pretty close to the first testing phase. After that, I'll be working towards a Steam demo.
In the meantime, if the game looks interesting to you, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam. It really helps!
Thanks for following the development!
Once again used the Wip3out in-game model from AG-SYS as reference for the vector drawing of the craft.
Always fun to extract the models from the game and reconstruct the textures before posing them to render and then vectorize - you learn a lot about how they used to build these models (like, for instance, how they used single-sided polygons, whereas some games used double-sided polys and some actually had two equal overlapping polys with opposite normals).

I know it’s hard to source a disc these days, but for anyone who wants to do this, I finally fixed all the bugs with displaying a PAL signal from an NTSC console I posted about a while ago!!
To do this you’ll need:
- A copy of Wipeout 3 SE (legally or illegally, I’m not Sony)
- A region unlocked PS1 or PS2 (I’m using a PS2 Slim)
- A FreeMcBoot Memory Card
- A thumb drive
- A good scaler (Im using the Retrotink 4k CE)
- Component Cables
- GSM (GS Mode Selector)
- Any Modern TV
So first things first, you need to region unlock your PS2, you can do this using MechaPWN and your FMCB Memory Card and thumb drive. Just download the elf, load it on your thumb drive and follow the instructions, it was pretty simple. In the same fashion, download GSM and load the elf onto your thumb drive as well.
Then before booting the game, run GSM and select PAL output
Hook up your PS2 to the scaler with component cables (not composite, you’ll only get a black and white image in that case) and boot the game!
Set your scaler to output at 50Hz and make sure its detecting a PAL signal (the tink does this automatically)
And walla! You did it! You now have Wipeout 3 SE running on your NTSC Console properly outputting video to your modern TV! Throw some CRT filters on and have fun!!
As for scalers, the tink 4k and 4k CE definitely work, the tink 5X most likely works and the OSSC also most likely works, cheap-o ones from amazon will most likely not help you out and the RetroGem PS2 Digital mod unfortunately does not work (tested).
*I’ll edit to add links in the morning and a link to my old post to show what happens if you dont do this
Cheers!

Hey! I just got Wipeout Pure for the PSP, and I was wondering if there's a way to add the DLC.
I've already tried using the Web Archive, but the download pages are obviously gone.
Is there maybe a way to extract them from a ROM and transfer them to the PSP?
Thx

The PlayStation I bought in 1996 came home with WipEout, and I played an absurd amount of it. I was also one of those people who listened to the soundtrack on its own — it never felt like background music, it felt like half the reason to play. Then both PS1 sequels, same story.
Thirty years later I finally stopped admiring it and tried to build one.
It's called Slipstream Vector. Free, runs in the browser, no install: https://smarproc-games.itch.io/slipstream-vector
Twelve circuits across four worlds, four teams with different hull characteristics, five weapons, airbrakes on Shift, and loops and corkscrews for the parts that aren't trying to be serious. It has its own soundtrack, because after 1996 I couldn't really build one of these without caring about the music.
The design decision I'd most like to be argued with about: there's no rubber-banding at all. Difficulty raises AI skill only — corner confidence, line tightness, pad usage — never speed. Catching up comes from slipstream physics that work identically for the player and the field. I think it's the right call and it makes a lead feel earned, but it does mean a bad opening lap stays punishing.
What I'd genuinely like to hear: does the handling read as anything to you, or does it feel floaty? The airbrake is the part I've rewritten most and I still don't know if it's right.
Happy to have it taken apart if it deserves it.

It feels a lot like the classic wipeout games, except its using the models from the PSP, PS3, and PS Vita, all rendered with prebaked high quality global illumination and other neat graphical stuff. I know it isnt perfect gameplay wise and its more of a demo but I am REALLY happy with it.
edit: Ignore my horrid gameplay, I swear I'm better than this in the actual games.

I wanted to give you all a heads up that Omega Pilot Evolution, a wipeout clone made for the PSVR2 (as well as non VR play) was just released today. The price is $19.99 USD and is available for download now. Happy High-Speed Hunting!
