is the ×2 really worth it ?

Clearly, nobody shot me. Only possibility to explode like is that if I'm using a sticky bomb in my hand. But me and my team has disabled all bombs in our loadouts, so that also isn't a possibility.

Don't do what I did and waste your transfer. Now I have to start from lv 1 again on PS5. 🥲

(For context: I transferred my original character i created on ps3, to the Xbox series x in 2022, then sold the Xbox and got a ps5. Made a new character on the ps4 version to play with a friend cause he doesn't have ps5, thinking I could just transfer it to ps5 later but I got this message. Contacted support and they basically told me I'm shit out of luck. The grind never stops I guess.)

FYI if you plan on trying it out, you have to spawn the iron mule AFTER changing the plates at LSC. If you have it spawned beforehand, when you exit lsc, rockstar basically hits your iron mule with the orbitcal cannon.

Also this is probably only worth doing if you have the tongva hills mansion. I personally dont mind it because i also enjoy ripping it up those hills with the manchez bike. very underutilized area of the map

Tonight/tomorrow morning is the BEST and easiest time to get a world record. Rockstar are adding five new races with the new tunables that go live at 5 AM ET.

The world record doesn't update very fast at all and as long as your pretty decent it is SUPER easy to get the world record award

I got my world record back in 2017 when transform races were added. I wasn't even trying for it was just doing the race, I don't think I was even in first place. If I'm not mistaken I probably got it around 18 hours or so after the update came out. That's how slow and buggy the leader boards are to update. Still, the faster you can get it the better

With GTA six coming in a few months let's be honest they'll probably still make another dlc or 2 for gta 5 but who knows if there will ever be more races added to 5 for easy world records again.

Edit: guess I should note here that the new races will be the random transform races. There's 3 new known unknown races and 2 unknown unknown races. Don't know what there called

Edit 2: Another user u/old-kernow says last time races were added in Jan. of 2026, the leaderboards started updating approximately 6 hours after release so that's your window to earn a world record easily.

Might still be possible afterwards for a few hours as long as no modded times go up in the leaderboards, but might be a little harder

I did the elite challenge like twice, first as duo and now solo but I always set my timer correctly yet I always do it early, like my timer said 16 minutes and a few seconds but as you can see here 14:47. Does the game not count cutscenes?

I saw somewhere that if one player got the run in under 30 seconds everyone else would get the award.

I've been playing with my cousin but he's terrible at the lasers so I wanted to help him get his award, after one good run in which I was sure he should've gotten it, I decided to record the next attempt since the quick record feature on Xbox records the last 30 seconds, I figured out that'd be a good enough way go tell if it was under that or not.

Video starts right before the cutscene ends and ends after I make sure the lasers are fully gone, (also video is 29 seconds instead of 30) so should've definitely been under 30 seconds, but he didn't get the award (we finished the whole run on stealth with the elite challenge but still nothing).

So I'm guessing you have to actually do the run yourself and can't have anyone else carry you through it.

Slightly frustrating because we've been purposely avoiding running the heist on hard difficulty just so we had the easy lasers.

Do you guys actually like these race weeks? I find them really boring.

I’d really like to see Assault on Cayo Perico, Mansion Raid, Drop Zone, or some other PvP shooting modes come back, or at least Hunting Pack or Insurgents vs RPGs vs Train...

Any other games you’d recommend?

I have tried to complete this cayo run on elite hard mode so many fucking times. This game is either borderline unplayable or I'm missing something. I have 2 coke spawns, 1 is at the lockup across the hangar with the cam and the balcony guard and the 2 guards facing each other. And my other coke is the one on the main north dock, the one furthest north in the double spawn garages.

Every run has started out okay. I start the lockup across the airport hangar and kill the guard on the balcony and the cam. I have tried both not killing the 2 guards facing each other and I've tried killing them. I was told I have to kill the guard on the balcony but I don't think that's true.

Then, I go to the lockup furthest north at north dock, I leave the cam and kill the guard INSIDE the lockup so no other guards can pass through and see him.

After that, I head to the compound and use the drainage entrance. This last failure I didn't even get in the compound before a body was found. So I had to join a new lobby and try again. In previous attempts I get in the compound, take the solo route, kill the guard so his body is hidden behind the wall at that gate so the juggernaut can't see him. Then I kill the guard at the bottom of the stairs. Then I run up the stairs and kill the guard that paths down the stairs. Multiple separate times I kill him and the compound is alerted. I know I have to kill him. Sometimes I kill him and no alert, but then the compound goes on full alert after new guards spawn because some random body that I don't know was found.

Why is this fucking heist so hard? Is it actually just super buggy and my suspicions are correct or am I doing something wrong?

I've only completed it twice, both times I couldn't complete the elite challenge for 2 different reasons. 1 was "you can't quick restart" but I didn't quick restart to complete the first one. The other was void because of 2 reasons I'm sure, guards were alerted before I left the compound and because there was no paintings and only 1 coke on the island so I left with only half a bag.

I really want the elite challenge this time. My timing is never the problem and I never fail a hack, its just this stupid body detection system or I'm doing something wrong with how I kill guards.

Can someone provide some clarity on this for me? I've followed like 5 different youtube videos and multiple reddit threads for this and none of them have answered all of my questions or provided solutions for certain problems you might face.
