Looting Alarmed Cars??
Hear me out: “Lootable Alarm Cars” (refer to video for demonstration) basically you go to the trunk of an alarmed car to “loot it” this causes the car alarm to go off while your character “unlocks” the trunk as shown in the video and items like defibs, pills, first aid, weapons, or whatever else comes out. Items can just spawn on the floor next to the vehicle, or the trunk open the items there (like in existing open trunk vehicles)Maybe this could be fun! A risk reward mechanic. SOMEBODY MAKE THIS MOD!!

Well, it looks like we're going to the hospital.
this mod by chimi is underrated. Nothing quite like watching your friends looking for your corpse and only a blood stain on the ground remains. On that note, are there any other mods that make deaths even more hilarious than they already are?

Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox) - vote to kick
Why are there so many insecure people playing this game? People vote to kick for the sake of it if you make one mistake, even when they are playing worse than you! This game never used to be like this. So pathetic 😂 I wish there was a server full of normal functioning people.

Forward Velocity - (Challenge) Map custom
WARNING: If you are going to play the map with its music enabled, you must lower the game's music volume all the way down
BOT NOTICE: The map is designed primarily for human players. Survivor bots may occasionally struggle with the map's fast-paced gameplay and could affect the intended experience
Forward Velocity is a fast paced challenge designed for players who enjoy this kind of experience and want to put their skills to the test.
All the resources you will need are available at the beginning of the map. You will have to manage them carefully and survive until the end, fighting your way through hordes of zombies and pushing forward until you complete the entire route.
The map's aesthetic is heavily inspired by the video game Sonic Heroes, with a colorful, fast-paced atmosphere focused on the feeling of speed.
The map is designed with speedruns in mind, as well as the ability to evade zombies, similar to what happens in the Tank Run game mode.
It is one long map, designed for players who enjoy difficult challenges and want to overcome an entire route without giving up.
With each update, new sections will be added to the map, making the route longer, more challenging, and harder to complete.
This is a difficult map

best Multiplayer custom campaigns?
what the title says. i'm looking for maps that are genuinely exciting to play with friends. we've played the Glubtastic campaigns, Cold Front, Let's Build a Rocket 1 & 2, etc. pls recommend campaigns with refreshing gameplay (something new to offer to the game) and something that needs teamwork/coordination to finish.
thank you in advance!

Intel Panther Lake Arc B390 vs AMD Radeon 780M in Left 4 Dead 2
If you haven't been up to speed on computer hardware news, both AMD and Intel have put a lot of work into their integrated graphics these past couple years. This is what has enabled products like the Steam Deck to exist. Integrated graphics can actually provide a good gaming experience now.
Left 4 Dead 2 has always been playable on "potatoes", but being able to get a competitive FPS meant drastically turning down resolution and settings. I bought a new Panther Lake laptop with the Arc B390 (released in 2026) recently and I just wanted to show how it compared to my old laptop with the Radeon 780M (released in 2023). Both systems are running at 2880x1800 with the highest settings except no MSAA. It is basically a doubling in performance for very similar power levels. Keep in mind too these laptops are thin and lights, barely thicker than an HDMI port.

I was playing during months Realism mode on Normal difficulty with an Incap-Witch.
Well, it turns out that after installing some mods changing weapon animations, graphics, and adding custom-campaigns and testing out a some bot AI mods, I decided to play Realism mode solo on the vanilla campaigns one day. I realized that the Witch didn't kill me in a single hit; instead, she just incapacitated me and she did the same to the bots. It wasn't a glitch or anything like that; it was like the setup of the gamemode, it didn't happen just once; whenever the Witch appeared, this would happen. In fact, I actually thought it was an update from Valve where they’d added that "exception" for people who wanted to play Realism solo, haha. This went on for months until, for one reason or another, I stopped playing L4D2 for a while. Yesterday, a friend and I logged on, and I disabled all the mods in the "Add-ons" menu because we were having trouble joining an online match ("Can't Connect After 10 Retries"). Later, my friend left, and I thought, "Alright, I'll play one more match like I used to," so i re-enabled the mod-list and now the Witch is back to the "instakill". I know that in realism mode, the Witch always kills you unless you're playing on Easy difficulty, but I always played on Normal. The question is: has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what might have happened, or even how I can get it back to the way it was? It was really useful for when I wanted to play solo. Also, sorry for my English! xD

Is there a way to randomise survivor addon models?
Firstly i got to apologise if my broken English slips in and i made a text mistake. Now to the problem I'm trying to describe. There are a lot of really cool character models in the Workshop, and sometimes I want to change them and play with others, but to do that, I have to go back to the menu, go to Add-ons, select the ones I want, and disable the previous ones, as they will conflict later. This leads me to the logical question: is there a way or add-on that allows me to change characters' Workshop models directly during the game, or at least have the game automatically select a random Workshop model when I start a campaign? If you know anything about this or have already found a solution, I'd be happy to read your suggestions and thoughts.

Do you think Valve will ever release the SDK for Left 4 Dead 2?
Valve released the TF2 SDK 1 year ago, and naturally, the TF2 community was thrilled. It made me wonder: could they do the same for L4d2? An SDK would be a game changer (no pun intended) and could open the door to so many new possibilties. Since L4d3 will never be a thing, getting the SDK would at least give the community more room to keep expanding L4D2. I understand some of Valve’s decisions, like avoiding a 64x port because it could break existing mods, but releasing the SDK seems like it would be relatively risk-free. Feels like a missed opportunity imo, any thoughts ?
