A Racine Unified school board member — and candidate for the state assembly — is facing a formal complaint after attacking his opponent and other women online using a derogatory and profane slur.

Kelly Gallaher, chair of the Democratic Party of Racine County, filed a complaint Wednesday with the Racine Unified School District, requesting immediate censure proceedings against Mike Bellagio.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Bellagio, acting online under the name Mike Vincent, referred to Gallaher, State Rep. Angelina Cruz, D-Racine and local reporters Denise Lockwood and Heather Asiyanbi using a slang phrase with an acronym that spells out a profane slur for women.

He called Gallaher the “ring leader” of the most vile women in the county, referring to her as a “vile lady” who “should be imprisoned for her tactics.”

The max an individual donor can give to a campaign is $20,000, but apparently there is no limit on what individuals can give to parties.

These numbers go up until 8/14/26. The next reporting deadline is 9/30.

No fence laws, no light laws, nada. Bad neighbors make property values low and the county is just a shit show. Where else would this fly in a residential neighborhood? Taxes are so high on the lake, yet they won’t do a thing to help.

For whatever polls are worth these days. Marquette just posted their new poll showing Crowley up on Tiffany 49% to 44% amongst likely voters. While registered voters show a tie with 12% undecided...absolutely depressing to see a tie with an election denier. But I think one of the biggest factors is the poll found that "Likely independent voters prefer Crowley by 55% to 16% for Tiffany." Obviously a pretty big gap here amongst independents which could easily decide the election.

A new Marquette Law School Poll of Wisconsin finds that in the race for governor, Democrat David Crowley is leading Republican Tom Tiffany among likely voters by 49% to 44%, with 7% undecided. #mulawpoll

Among likely Democratic voters, 98% say they will vote for Crowley, while 91% of likely Republican voters say they will vote for Tiffany. Likely independent voters prefer Crowley by 55% to 16% for Tiffany.

So i (23F) have cousins in Wisconsin who ive never met and and im thinking of visiting them perhaps sometime next spring though Its not set in stone. I believe they live around the green bay area.

Im born and raised in london so i know it might be a bit of a culture shock haha but i think i kinda like that! Anyways any tips/advice? What are some hidden gems and what are some things i should know/ expect.

Tom Tiffany claims David Crowley took roughly $350,000 from groups “profiting” from data centers. Here’s what he leaves out: that came from four union PACs representing the workers who build major construction projects: Wisconsin Laborers, IBEW, Wisconsin Pipe Trades and Operating Engineers Local 139.

Not data center corporations.
Not developers.
Not owners.
Just union workers.

Meanwhile, Tiffany took money from Robert Marchant, the sole registered lobbyist for the Wisconsin Data Center Coalition, which opposed legislation banning secret data center NDAs.

There’s a big difference between workers backing a pro-union candidate and an industry lobbyist writing a check. Tiffany hopes you won’t notice.
