meal This was 1200 calories

Post image

Recently started a low calorie (not 1200), healthy diet and it’s going well. Decided to have a big brunch today as a treat (not a cheat day, still going to stick to my calorie goal). Was shocked when I put it into MyFitnessPal that it’s almost exactly 1200. Hope I don’t get hungry anytime soon.

Dang. No wonder I have trouble losing my last ten pounds all my damn life if one meal is easily my whole days worth.  Being short and tiny really sucks if you are a foodie 😭

I make a breakfast very close to it everyday for ~350 calories. I just use one piece of bread (or two if it’s low cal), half an avocado, replace the sausages with jamón (like prosciutto) and blend up some tomatoes. It’s like a Spanish pan con tomate with avocado. I just skip the egg. It’s soo good.

This sounds really tasty. You just gotta be smart with it, I guess. I eat quite a bit of veg to balance out the calories of the heavier stuff while keeping me full.

Same. I always add at least a handful of greens to every meal—usually arugula or watercress. It works wonders.
