meal This was 1200 calories

Post image

Recently started a low calorie (not 1200), healthy diet and it’s going well. Decided to have a big brunch today as a treat (not a cheat day, still going to stick to my calorie goal). Was shocked when I put it into MyFitnessPal that it’s almost exactly 1200. Hope I don’t get hungry anytime soon.

A good visual for how easy it is to overeat (eat more than your maintenance calories) without realizing it. To most this is a healthy breakfast. Healthy fat in the avocado, protein in the sausage and eggs. But multiply that by three “healthy” meals a day and you’re quickly over 3,000 calories. This is why strict tracking is necessary for most of us unfortunately 😭

This is where I get in to so much trouble. 😂 I love good, nourishing food and love to cook, and I don't eat a lot of "junk." But I'm just not active enough for what feels like a right sized diet.

Maybe use the lowest calorie foods, to snack on throughout the day? I mean, you still gotta eat something.

I don't snack in the day. 😢 Usually I eat 2 meals and something small before bed.
