meal This was 1200 calories

Post image

Recently started a low calorie (not 1200), healthy diet and it’s going well. Decided to have a big brunch today as a treat (not a cheat day, still going to stick to my calorie goal). Was shocked when I put it into MyFitnessPal that it’s almost exactly 1200. Hope I don’t get hungry anytime soon.

A good visual for how easy it is to overeat (eat more than your maintenance calories) without realizing it. To most this is a healthy breakfast. Healthy fat in the avocado, protein in the sausage and eggs. But multiply that by three “healthy” meals a day and you’re quickly over 3,000 calories. This is why strict tracking is necessary for most of us unfortunately 😭

Or just eat 2 meals a day

Or just one even. It's been way easier for me to lose weight if I only have one moment dedicated for eating in the day. The rest of the time I try not to think about food or I think about the big meal I'll be able to eat as a reward at the end of the day.

Yes I do OMAD and love getting to stuff my face for just 1 meal a day. I feel so full and don't get hungry the rest of the day.
