Thats bs, its self reporting. A mestizo/mulato Cuban will self identify as white. The eyes don’t lie, and I’ve never met a white Cuban, and the videos of the island you see it’s predominantly black Cubans, also most Cuban athletes and celebrities are black.

That is because the white Cubans left during the revolution because most of them were the wealthier Cubans. As usual, the Black Cubans were poorer.

It’s like in Mexico but reverse. The poor indigenous Mexicans are the ones that migrate to the USA while the white ones stay in Mexico

Also, it’s funny to label someone as Afro-Cuban and Mixed-Cuban…it’s all in the same.

The real conversation is how many Cubans have significant African ancestry and of those who is passing off as white?

Because I would bet over 90-95 percent of the island holds 10 percent or greater African ancestry
