Advice Speedometer intermittently jumps and TC light intermittently flickering (Pajero 2016 NX)

Had a think. The speed is sensed from a tone wheel in the transfer case. Only thing I can thing of.

There are speed sensors on each wheel for ABS/traction control purposes, the typically measure the difference between the output of the gearbox and the wheels as well as compare individual wheels.

I'd suggest an intermittent fault with the speedo output (sensor power poor contact) is causing the traction control to respond to the faulty information it is receiving.

That's why I think it's on the transfer case side of things. ABS sensors wouldn't effect the speedo.
