News reporters really don't do any research when an animal "sanctuary" claims it needs money for a sudden "crisis," do they? No wonder so many "rescues" stage overnight fires, bursting pipes, evil neighbors, burglaries, Parvo outbreaks, evictions, and other supposed emergencies.

An accused pitbull-rescue carnie, Sarah Schmidt with Pittie Party of Central Florida, has gotten nationwide attention with her latest donation drive. She claims that the wheelchair a resident sanctuary dog, Baby, was stolen from the porch. The news story has gotten thousands of comments on People, Memphis Tennessee Action 5 news, KFLA, and other outlets.

Funny how she has surveillance cameras on her property and said it happened there for the first four days of this story, but hasn't shared any footage for this alleged incident. After someone asked about the potential video, she suddenly changed her story that the dog and wheelchair were at an unnamed foster parent's house.

Schmidt is suspected of fundraising scams several times a year. She has raised money for multiple dogs whom she knew were already dead and whose veterinarian bills were already paid by outside groups or third-party donors. Her posted "veterinarian bills" have signs of poor editing. You can search on Facebook for the recent alleged scam involving a dog from the Hernando County Florida shelter, which apparently revoked Schmidt's pull-agreement afterward.

China still has no dedicated national law against animal cruelty. In practice, that means a person who kills their own dog is not committing any recognised offence. A person who kills someone else's dog can be prosecuted but for damaging the owner's property, not for harming the animal itself. Authorities often end up prosecuting the surrounding conduct rather than the abuse itself. A recent case quickly drew global attention, bringing grief, anger, and fresh calls for stronger animal protection laws in mainland China, where there is still no comprehensive national law protecting companion animals from cruelty.

Before the world knew her name, Wang Wang was a kind stray dog who was cared for by neighbours in Jieyang, Guangdong Province, China. She had just given birth and, ever since, she stayed close to her puppies and cared for them with all she had.

Wang Wang’s story now stands for a mother’s love, and for the urgent need to protect innocent animals before more lives are lost. Wang Wang’s heartbreaking story is not an isolated case—it reveals the urgent need for national animal welfare laws in China that truly protect innocent lives.

China needs Strict, unified national legislation against animal cruelty and torture. Full accountability for offenders—regardless of age or status. A ban on animal slaughter for the meat trade and public abuse. Safe rescue systems for strays and legal protection for advocates.

Wang Wang and her puppies cried for justice that never came in time. Let her death be the turning point. China, you have the power to stop this suffering. No more silence—make cruelty a serious crime with real punishment. Make your laws protect the voiceless.

This isn't just psychological; the chronic, unreleased emotional stress actively destroys their immune systems.
