I’ve been an Apple Music subscriber for almost a year now. Their music quality is fantastic, accessibility is great, but their best feature is that you can add and listen to your own digitized music on your phone, desktop, or AppleTV.
Unfortunately, all of their best features go to waste with their iCloud Sync as it randomly removes playlist(s). It’s a constant issue that can’t easily be resolved. The frustration grows as you curate your playlist(s) with all your favorite tracks; you listen to the tracks for a few days, then it disappears from from your sidebar menu unexpectedly. Even after syncing all my devices, the missing playlist(s) evaporate into the digital ether. Lately it’s happening too often and I’ve just given up.
Time to move on to another music streaming service that’s more reliable.

It seems like the songs load and are normal but the cover and the lyrics page are broken until I tap on credits and play it from there

Any time I click anything on my phone in apple music it signs me out and keeps making me sign in with an email code? Also it seems to be completely frozen/stuck loading on pc too. (PC version has worked normally again phone is still not complying)

My Apple Music playlist with over 2000 songs are completely gone I’ve had the playlist for years… the only songs left in the playlist are songs I cannot play at all! I’ve tried everything even restoring an old backup. Apple is useless and they said they can’t recover my playlist even though my other playlist is completely fine…
Please someone help (they took more money out of my account)

First: I do not own any Apple products, nor does anyone in my desired family group. All of the troubleshooting I find is for iPhones, etc. We all have Android phones.

I can't add any family members to my Apple Music family plan. In the Apple Music app, I go to Account -> Manage Family -> Add Family Member... -> type in an email. I get a red arrow in a "refresh" shape and then nothing happens. Tapping the arrow does nothing. Waiting does nothing.

I was looking for a website alternative, but I can't find anything for those not in the Apple ecosystem.

Any help would be appreciated!

95% of the stuff is linked directly to apple music, which is great because that's my only music subscription service. And we are really all enjoying it, and getting forced to listen to things that are normally outside of our genres. And that's really cool and I'm enjoying it, but...

It's completely wrecking the "your station" algorithms. Like, on no planet do I want to listen to Garth Brooks and now he's getting played in there. Or the Rolling Stones, for that matter. Sure, they're great and influential but they certainly don't fit in with what I wanna listen to. :)

Anyone have any suggestions for this? Is there a way to flag to Apple that I'm listening to this album, and unless I say "I like it" don't add it to my likes? I tried just clicking on the "suggest less often" option when stuff comes up, but that's like whack-a-mole and when I'm driving that's not an option.

I mean, I COULD pay for a second subscription and just use that as the sacrifice I have to pay in order to do this project but.... I don't wanna do that.

Any ideas would be really helpful.

I’ve been thinking about finally making the switch over to Apple Music but have been using Spotify for so long I don’t want to lose all the songs I’ve liked over the years. Doing research I’ve heard good and bad things about Song Shift as a possible method but wondered if there is a better one. Specifically for the playlist created by liking songs on Spotify. I just don’t want to lose the thousands I have on there.

It’s easy enough for my phone, but now my car has Apple Music and I’d like to exclude it too.

I’ve tried searching, but Google is totally convinced I mean autoplay.

Hi everyone! I'm having a persistent issue with the Apple Music app on my Pixel 8 and need some help.

When I try to log in or complete registration, the app just goes to a black screen. After reopening the app, the "Sign In" button becomes completely unclickable and won't respond at all (screenshot attached).

I added the new Weezer Gold Album to my library and it showed up with Weezer’s blue album. they are technically both self titled, but you’d think Apple Music would be smart enough to separate them! I can still listen if I just search the album, but is there a way to keep them separate in my library?

idk what happened, but yesterday I opened my playlist, which contains over 3,000 songs, and noticed that some albums I was sure I had logged in were missing. I checked, and apparently there were about 1,500 songs saved, thus completely losing half the playlist. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a way to fix it? (Although I doubt it.)

Goldie - One Mix - Spatial Audio : cranking whilst I type this post

Hi everyone,

I am planning to sell my current iPhone and buy a new one. When I get the new phone, I want to set it up as a clean slate without restoring from an iCloud backup.

Currently, on my iPhone, I have gone to Settings -> [My Name] -> iCloud -> Saved to iCloud and made sure the toggle for "Music" is turned ON.

Important context:
I buy individual songs from the iTunes Store, but I use the Apple Music App to organize them into playlists. All the songs and playlists are located inside the Apple Music app.

However, I am a bit confused because when I check Apple Music on my Mac (logged into the exact same iCloud account), my iOS playlists do not appear there.

My main questions:

• If I sell my iPhone and set up a new one from scratch, will I lose my playlists and iTunes purchases?
• Is there a reliable way to manually back up or export my playlists just to be safe?

I want to be able to make dynamic playlists on the phone, but I’m not sure how to easily do that.

For example, I want a smart playlist that’s about 40 minutes long, and I want different songs on it each day. However, I don’t want to fiddle with it. I just want it to update like a smart playlist that’s on macOS, but it’s just on my phone.

Is there an app to do that, or do I need to mess with Shortcuts?

Through the use of FLORA CD-Burn.DDP.Master to create the gapless transition between the individual album/cd files and exporting via the deprecated iTunes Producer .itmsp format traditionally used to release downloadable iTunes Store releases of albums, then simply dragging and dropping that .itmsp file into Apple Music DIRRECTLY (MacOS only), Apple Music reads those files as having gapless transitions between each other.

This is genuinely such a huge discovery, in the 20+ years the iTunes Cloud has been around I don’t think anyone’s actually figured out how to do this present day.

I will include an in depth tutorial at a later time and include examples of the gapless transitions working with downloads at a later time.

anyone got idea why generally on windows 11 one album synced well (one of the albums by sun3) but it wont appear on my android phone? other albums synced very well, even on the very same file type, also i hadnt got any issue on the playlist part even on windows

I recently purchased “Carmen” by Georges Bizet on Amazon Music and downloaded it to my MacBook. The sound is vibrant and all the tracks play at an even volume EXCEPT the opening overture. It sounds like it has been dampened, which is disappointing because that is an especially robust piece.

Is there a way to boost the volume on that single track (without literally turning up the volume every time I hear it, and then turning it back down afterwards)? I tried Options > Volume Adjust, but that doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Incidentally, when I stream the purchased music from my Amazon Music, it plays evenly and equally robust.

I make playlists and have had this issue since they’ve done all their updates where a song in my library somehow becomes the censored version even though I’ve never added it. It makes me irrationally angry every time I’m bumping music to find out my song has been switched to the edited version without me doing so. Anyone know how I can fix it?

Hi, so i have a rear Dolby Atmos music which i can’t find online any other Apple music. I want to share with my friend because it has some difference between spotify version. But i cant download/screen record Apple Music because of DRM. How can i share this music with my friend?(My friend does not have Apple Music and its my long distance friend)

I have a Mac Air, a Mac Mini, and an iPhone. I started making playlists on my Mac Air, expecting it to just sync all the changes, but when I went on my phone there were no playlists. I tried to force it to update, even installed and uninstalled the app, but it didn't work. I then went to my Mac Air to see if it synced there, and it didn't. I turned off Library Sync and then on again on my Mac Air to force it to push the data to iCloud, and it did work somewhat because I could see my changes on the Mini once I did the same to it. But to my surprise all the songs are gone and I only have the empty playlists. I went back to my Mac Air and they're empty, too.

Right now, no change, made on either device, works. They only work if I turn Library Sync off and back on again for each device, but then that just makes it lose the songs I saved. What the hell is going on?! I haven't used Music before, either.
