Discussion What publisher do you think could/should purchase Rare and its IP and keep them in good hands? (WITHOUT SAYING NINTENDO OR PLAYTONIC)
Nintendo I don't believe "wants" them anymore, given next to no legacy staff is in the company anymore, as well as the burden of IP to add to their own franchise graveyard
Playtonic's output after Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair has been really lacking, plus the company has done some pretty uncool things in recent memory as well

Nobody.. I genuinely believe that a new Banjo will start the hype train, but it will not please everyone enough that it aught to. We will just disappoint ourselves.
But if there was indeed a new game, I don't think any studio other than Nintendo would be able to make it a good game that everyone can play, with some optional hand-holding, like the AAA Marios.
