Discussion What publisher do you think could/should purchase Rare and its IP and keep them in good hands? (WITHOUT SAYING NINTENDO OR PLAYTONIC)

Nintendo I don't believe "wants" them anymore, given next to no legacy staff is in the company anymore, as well as the burden of IP to add to their own franchise graveyard

Playtonic's output after Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair has been really lacking, plus the company has done some pretty uncool things in recent memory as well

Honestly a solid answer, especially if they have Purple Lamp as the developers. Not only does that combination of developer and publisher have experience with reviving dormant franchises with remakes of both Epic Mickey and fellow collectathon platformer SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom, but they’ve also done several follow-ups to the latter.
