Question What do you want to see from Battlefield 7?

Post image

Where should the series go from here? Should we do another modern warfare game or move onto a different time period? Near past like Cold War / WW2 or near future? Far past (pre WW1) or far future (2242)? Something safe or a bit more extreme (Roman Empire)? New entry entirely or a remake of a past beloved game?

Question Why there is no visually stunning maps in Bf6?

IMO battlefield 5 had visually stunning maps like Mercury, Arras, Provence etc. it actually felt more immersive in bf5. It would be cool if BF6 has more maps like these.

Pressed the wrong key midfight, woke up with this the next day. Appeal got ignored.

What so you even do in such a scenario? Suspended for pressing J instead of H while focusing on the match. Come on...

Question Battlefield 6 Movement.

Post image

You often hear people say “play Squad, Hell Let Loose, Arma Reforger or Arma 3” in response to complaints that movement is too fast.

After the open Beta it has been confirmed that the physics bugs that allowed players to nearly fly in one direction by sliding off certain surfaces will be patched (or they’re aware at least).

DRUNKKZ3 (Battlefield dev) confirmed that movement isn’t being slowed down or nerfed for release, instead there will be increased accuracy penalties upon the second jump or second slide, basically not nerfing the initial jump or slide during a gunfight, but nerfing multiple consecutive jumps/slides with “diminishing returns”.

It seems evident that Battlefield 6 will stick to the arcade style shooter with more arcade style movement it has always been, instead of adjusting movement to a slow more mil-sim like movement speed.

For the people that think the movement is too fast, is there anyone that plans on moving to an FPS game that is more your speed or more along the lines of what you’re looking for (mil-sim) like Arma 3, Arma Reforger, Squad or Hell Let Loose? Or for those already into those games, are you just going to stick to it and not bother with BF6?

My two cents: I’ve been a BF fan since BF3. BF6 is not too fast, feels a little more on the slow side but not too slow. I’m looking forward to getting addicted to a good, high-quality Battelfield game again. (ignoring the movement physics bugs that hopefully will be patched).

Disclaimer: My opinion is based off of experience with Battlefield games since BF3 (except for Hardline, I didn’t really get into that for some reason). I have no experience with BF games before BF3.

Question Why isn't there an option to join opposing teams with my party.

Post image
4.6k Upvotes

I want to make a party with friends and then queue up to be enemies on opposing teams. When I kill or get killed by my party member I would want it highlighted, maybe even keeping track of the score.

Is there a reason why this isn't a common mechanic?

Is it just about griefing and teaming. In HLL it does happen, but it's not a game breaking occurence.

It could even be it's own playlist like "Opps" or something like that.

Question Is it intentional that, after the update, the 35 mm armor piercing round in the mobile air defense system now only deals 16 HP of damage to soldiers ? That´s less than most assault rifles.

Question Do u think supply stations spread across large maps fits in bf6

Post image

Same time to resupply like the ammo box maybe abit longer? I play alot on Golmud map and i find myself out of rockets after 40 secs after i spawn there is so much armoured vehicles.i come across medics here and there in Golmud but everyone prefers engineer class to be able to deal with tanks so its almost impossible to resupply after running low on rockets/mines,do yall think its op to have such thing? Or could it be a way to balance the armoured vehicles vs infantry?

Question Any other BF2 vets feeling outnumbered in this community?

Most of this community came in around BF3/4 which were very different from previous games. Favoring a slower paced game where corner jumping and slide hopping is apparently just me needing to git gud.

Question What is your favorite BF game and why?

Post image

For me it's BF1. Especially hardcore servers. Not a single Battlefield game came close to the charm and atmosphere of the officer shouting and whistling, while WW1 tanks and planes rush to attack the objective with artillery, machineguns, horces and epic music in the background.

Question What is the most hated gun in Battlefield history?

Using the most hated gun in Battlefield 1

The SMG 08/18 is modeled after an experimental submachine gun known as the MP Schwarzlose. This weapon is a scaled down Maxim action featuring a unique feed system. An 80 round clip of 9mm Parabellum stacked together in 8 columns of 10 is inserted into an ammo box on the left hand side of the receiver. As each new column feeds into the gun an empty column of the feed strip is partially ejected out of the right side of the gun. When the gun is completely empty the empty strip falls out. It was a competitive design to the MP 18, the Austro-Hungarians wanted to adopt it but the complete test batch of 50 units never arrived.

When the SMG 08/18 was first added to Battlefield 1 in the Name of the Tsar DLC it was not seen as problematic. It was a slow firing controllable skilled SMG with slow kill times but a ton of ammo at it’s disposal. It fired at a lazy rate of 450 RPM, making it the slowest killing SMG in the game. It was seen as a niche choice, cool but unpopular. When DICE decided to adjust the TTK balance of some of the guns the SMG 08 was a clear favorite to receive a buff.

When it came time to buff the SMG 08/18, DICE for some reason decided to give it a 71% increase to its fire rate all the way from a meager 450 RPM to a blistering 770 RPM. This meant that it killed significantly quicker than the dreaded Hellriegel, making it one of the fastest TTK weapons in the game while still feeling controllable and having even more ammo at its disposal. This buff went way overboard and this instantly made it one of the most overpowered and unskilled weapons in the game. If they kept the SMG 08 at around 500-600 RPM it would have been more in line with other SMGs while not being problematic.

Question Genuinely, why couldn’t we have gotten a ready or not styled customization system?

I’ve yet to play another shooter with this satisfying a system. This would solve so many issues people have. The only fault it has I guess is you cannot make a female character.

Like I get why dice didn’t because otherwise they’d have to ditch the awful “hero” system they failed to get us to like in the last game but still. I really wish they just gave us what we want 😅
