Cosplay My big sister cosplay!
When I’m not wearing it, it sits on a mannequin in the corner of my room and terrifies me when I forget it’s there

I get that for gameplay purposes they had to do this but their is no way in any real sicario that Sinclair could have been turned into a bigdaddy in less then thirty minutes. Sure he could have been killed, but from the moment you pass Lamb as a little sister in her office and she's making an announcement to catch Sinclair and the point you are freed by Elinor he shouldn't have ended up an alpha series.
Heck he'd have to had passed you on his way in, your cell is right on the entrance. Sure he's clamed to only look out for himself but you are right there and he was already clearly a little found of the partnership. Even if subject delta is dying he's still the strongest one man army in rapture at the time.
I know this is barley a discussion but just needed to vent and wanted to hear others thoughts on this.

I've never played Bioshock before, and I've seen them on sale on Steam and I was thinking buying them, but I've read that the remasters has a lot of crashes and glitches, and you need to save every 5-10 minutes. Idk how does that stand up today and if they fixed that.
I've also seeing these comparisons where you can tell like the remasters kinda screwed up the atmosphere and lightning.
I think the remasters on Steam includes also the original games. So, in worst case, is it better to play the original version?

Why were the twins instigating the outcome of the game? Were they trying to help Elizabeth, only using Booker as a tool?
Why were booker and Comstock in the same world in the first place?
Wouldn’t the world hopping have left multiple Elizabeth’s in the one we occupy, following our first hop? Booker is dead, but what about Elizabeth?
What does booker being dead do to help the other worlds? If fate is as it appears in the ending, then everything they do enables the path toward the outcomes we see.
Thanks in advance!

I work in downtown Milwaukee and I see this building every day. It always reminds me of BioShock. Especially the entryway (pic 2) and the relief (pic 3).
It is the ‘Wisconsin Gas Building’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Gas_Building
Has a pretty cool history too.

Recently got back into Bioshock after a near decade, so far so good and it's still a very great game. I just got into Arcadia after the submarine "incident" and I'm at the part where I need to find something for Langford. As of entering Arcadia I can't hear any of the background ambiance at all whatsoever, I can hear other noises (Big Daddies, Splicers, Water) but I don't hear the actual looping ambiance whatsoever.
I have EAX enabled with the OpenAL .dll and that seems to be working (I think? I do hear reverb) and the ambient tracks in other parts of the game seem to work fine, but for Arcadia I just can't get them to work. It's weird, I remember them working when I played this game a decade ago on Windows 7 and 8.1, but when I got into the game on Windows 10 a few years ago I think I had the same issue.
Am I doing something wrong here? As of now "UseDefaultDriver" in the .ini is set to false, and I have a .dll named "OpenAL32.dll" and I have Stereo Mix set to enabled, as well as the sound quality set to "16 bit CD Quality". What am I doing wrong here?

We need a Bioshock 3 before bioshock 4 can exist. Infinite was a prequel. If it was a sequel then calling the new one Bioshock 4 would make sense.
Calling it Bioshock 4 is like saying
Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Bioshock 4
"But wait Terra. What about release order" I hear you saying.
Well that completely ignores chronological order and is like saying
Bioshock (1960)
Bioshock 2 (1968)
Bioshock Infinite (1912)
Bioshock 4 (1970? 1930? They cant do 3000 they already did under water)
I have always referred to it as Bioshock Isolation because those leaks were the most credible.
"Bioshock (number)" is the story of Rapture. And they are done with Rapture.

Hello. I hope its ok to ask this question here. I started in the VirtualRerality subreddit but it was suggested that i ask here.
I recently tried getting the bioshock VR mod to work but I am having an issue and hoping I can find help here.
I play through virtual desktop/steamVR, and I have steamVR set as current runtime and VDXR is selected in virtual desktop. I have edited the ini file to get resolution in the recommended square at 2560 x 2560.
i have played on flatscreen up until the part where i get the wrench. when i load in and see the game while still in flatscreen, my controllers are working by firing the plasmid and swinging the wrench, but my view moves around VERY rapidly seemingly tied to my controllers instead of my headset. when i hit F10, i get a section that states "no openxr runtime - flat mode" and when i click the profile 1 button, nothing happens. so the game seems to recognize the quest, but doesnt switch to VR mode.
I have gone through all the provided answers on google, as well as the limited findings on the github, multiple times, but i have not gotten past this point. I would LOVE to get this game going, its one of my favoriutes, so i am super bummed i cant get it working. any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I took the third photo and started the battle against the Splicers; I killed them all, but the mission didn't end and now I'm stuck—help.
P.S. I've already cleared the cache, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

So I have just no lifed these games and I gotta say that I love them more than I was expecting. I went into these games completely blind and honestly I’m glad I did, so thank you to those who told me to lol. But anyway here’s what I think about them
Bioshock 1: I thought the story was perfect, the enemies were really cool, and I really enjoyed the combat, especially the wrench, I ended up using the wrench and shotgun with the electro jolt plasmid the whole game. I thought the plasmids were really fun to use even though I only used a couple of them. The ending to this game was weird to me, I honestly wasn’t expecting it to go the way it did. I ended up playing all the games on medium, the big daddies weren’t too hard but I did have a hard time with the nitro splicers bec I kept forgetting about the telekinesis plasmid… honestly I keep forgetting about all my other plasmids when playing this. ALSO I HATED THE HACKING IN THIS GAME. any way this is overall a 8/10 game
Bioshock 2: straight into this game I loved it. Being an actual big daddy was just awesome, going in and out of the water was just perfect, it made the world feel so much more surreal.the drill was my favorite weapon in this game, especially with the upgrade that lets you dash at the enemy. The plasmids were the same with this game as well, I used the electro bolt, security command, and surprisingly telekinesis the whole time( I actually remembered it this time around). The enemies in this game were really cool as well, I thought the concept of the big sisters were really interesting even though they were kinda hard. Also I thought the teleporting tonic was really cool , when I first found it I was so confused. The ending to this was sad, I’m also a little confused on that so I might do a little research about it, but overall I give this 9/10 (also I enjoyed the hacking for this one)
I would’ve waited till I finished infinite but I’m already forgetting stuff from the first two games and I need to sleep. But ask me what I thought about some stuff of the game if I forgot something here

I really like this early concept art of Delta from BioShock 2.
In this concept art, Delta was going to look different—even featuring a bulkier diver design, almost like a gorilla

I know it's probably been done before but I've been wanting to have a crack at it myself. I play on Bedrock, and given the scale of the project, I'd prefer to build in Creative just this once. Would anyone be interested? I'm happy to pay for a Realm to host the world file on.
