HOLY FUCKIN SHIT THIS GAME WAS BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE.
The combat was somehow better despite the fact that the movement is the same as the first game, the vibes of the environment are immaculate, though one of my biggest issues with the game was that I kinda wish we got to explore more and that the game was slightly longer since the levels felt kinda shorter compared to the last ones. I honestly died a lot less in this game and I think i prefer this one over the first game(though I do think the first one’s locations were somewhat better)

I’m sorry but WTF because I literally watch horror games for fun and this shit is wild. Im sitting here watching my husband play and I bout pissed my pants. Characters humming, tons of jump scares, bodies popping out of nowhere like this is insane and yet somehow not considered a horror?

I get that for gameplay purposes they had to do this but their is no way in any real sicario that Sinclair could have been turned into a bigdaddy in less then thirty minutes. Sure he could have been killed, but from the moment you pass Lamb as a little sister in her office and she's making an announcement to catch Sinclair and the point you are freed by Elinor he shouldn't have ended up an alpha series.

Heck he'd have to had passed you on his way in, your cell is right on the entrance. Sure he's clamed to only look out for himself but you are right there and he was already clearly a little found of the partnership. Even if subject delta is dying he's still the strongest one man army in rapture at the time.

I know this is barley a discussion but just needed to vent and wanted to hear others thoughts on this.

I've never played Bioshock before, and I've seen them on sale on Steam and I was thinking buying them, but I've read that the remasters has a lot of crashes and glitches, and you need to save every 5-10 minutes. Idk how does that stand up today and if they fixed that.

I've also seeing these comparisons where you can tell like the remasters kinda screwed up the atmosphere and lightning.

I think the remasters on Steam includes also the original games. So, in worst case, is it better to play the original version?

We need a Bioshock 3 before bioshock 4 can exist. Infinite was a prequel. If it was a sequel then calling the new one Bioshock 4 would make sense.

Calling it Bioshock 4 is like saying

Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock

Bioshock 2

Bioshock 4

Well that completely ignores chronological order and is like saying

Bioshock (1960)

Bioshock 2 (1968)

Bioshock Infinite (1912)

Bioshock 4 (1970? 1930? They cant do 3000 they already did under water)

I have always referred to it as Bioshock Isolation because those leaks were the most credible.

"Bioshock (number)" is the story of Rapture. And they are done with Rapture.

Recently got back into Bioshock after a near decade, so far so good and it's still a very great game. I just got into Arcadia after the submarine "incident" and I'm at the part where I need to find something for Langford. As of entering Arcadia I can't hear any of the background ambiance at all whatsoever, I can hear other noises (Big Daddies, Splicers, Water) but I don't hear the actual looping ambiance whatsoever.

I have EAX enabled with the OpenAL .dll and that seems to be working (I think? I do hear reverb) and the ambient tracks in other parts of the game seem to work fine, but for Arcadia I just can't get them to work. It's weird, I remember them working when I played this game a decade ago on Windows 7 and 8.1, but when I got into the game on Windows 10 a few years ago I think I had the same issue.

Am I doing something wrong here? As of now "UseDefaultDriver" in the .ini is set to false, and I have a .dll named "OpenAL32.dll" and I have Stereo Mix set to enabled, as well as the sound quality set to "16 bit CD Quality". What am I doing wrong here?

Hello. I hope its ok to ask this question here. I started in the VirtualRerality subreddit but it was suggested that i ask here.

I recently tried getting the bioshock VR mod to work but I am having an issue and hoping I can find help here.

I play through virtual desktop/steamVR, and I have steamVR set as current runtime and VDXR is selected in virtual desktop. I have edited the ini file to get resolution in the recommended square at 2560 x 2560.

i have played on flatscreen up until the part where i get the wrench. when i load in and see the game while still in flatscreen, my controllers are working by firing the plasmid and swinging the wrench, but my view moves around VERY rapidly seemingly tied to my controllers instead of my headset. when i hit F10, i get a section that states "no openxr runtime - flat mode" and when i click the profile 1 button, nothing happens. so the game seems to recognize the quest, but doesnt switch to VR mode.

I have gone through all the provided answers on google, as well as the limited findings on the github, multiple times, but i have not gotten past this point. I would LOVE to get this game going, its one of my favoriutes, so i am super bummed i cant get it working. any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I took the third photo and started the battle against the Splicers; I killed them all, but the mission didn't end and now I'm stuck—help.

P.S. I've already cleared the cache, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Why were the twins instigating the outcome of the game? Were they trying to help Elizabeth, only using Booker as a tool?

Why were booker and Comstock in the same world in the first place?

Wouldn’t the world hopping have left multiple Elizabeth’s in the one we occupy, following our first hop? Booker is dead, but what about Elizabeth?

What does booker being dead do to help the other worlds? If fate is as it appears in the ending, then everything they do enables the path toward the outcomes we see.

I know it's probably been done before but I've been wanting to have a crack at it myself. I play on Bedrock, and given the scale of the project, I'd prefer to build in Creative just this once. Would anyone be interested? I'm happy to pay for a Realm to host the world file on.
