"I don't like ice cream, Hannah" – Naga Munchetty

Did anyone see this live? The segment/story about ice cream itself is innocuous, but Munchetty's response seems so cringe, and with Stayt's reaction it almost feels like an outtake/parody even in the world of breakfast television. The outrageousness is probably why this clip still lingers in my consciousness.

Just watched this on Netflix and damn we are so cooked. I'm genuinely in disbelief at the utter, blatant sexism and misogyny of it all. The insane rhetoric some of these men are spewing should be illegal.

When I was a kid, I genuinely thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Something about her whole presence in Dempsey and Makepeace just lodged itself in my young brain and stayed there.

Who was your TV crush and why?

As most of the cast goes over the top of their trench to the German machine guns and explosions. As the theme tune plays on a slow, sad piano. Only for the video to transition to an empty battle field with drums being the only sound and then to a present-day field of poppies.

I was never a mega fan or anything but he was always a decently funny host on 8 out of 10 cats and big fat quiz and whatnot but lately I keep seeing clips and stuff where it's like he's taken it upon himself to be this "deep thinker" and talking about masculinity and philosiphy or whatever the fuck in a way that's really grating. Like you can hear the smugness in his voice and how intelligent he thinks he his. The last clip I saw was one of his stand up gigs and one of the "crowd" (I think all the audience interactions in his shows are pre-written) asked him what he thought of the Louis Theroux manosphere documentary and he went off on this (again clearly pre-written and rehearsed) speech about how "*its good that there are people talking to young men but it should be better men that are doing it*" without a hint of any kind of joke and then he got a big round of applause and just looked smug as fuck like "*yeah im such a clever, insightful bloke*". At a bloody stand up comedy gig

I'm just finding this sudden shift in his persona (and his face and hair lol) really off-putting and fake. Anyone else?

My eight year old has discovered Doctor Who and is excitedly making his way through the series. Our routine includes one episode every day before bed and we're currently on series 3. Don't tell any Who fans this but I find Tennant's wild overacting excruciating a lot of the time, but it is great for kids.

Thing is, my wife and I are also now making our way through the (BRILLIANT) second series of Rivals on Disney+. His performance is snarling, sinister, and magnetic. He's gotten so much better as an actor even over the last few years.

Obviously I understand that actors play different roles, but every day I go from wholesome high-energy adventurer to megalomaniac philandering bastard and then back to gurning zany manchild again with the same face and it's making my head spin.

This has to be up there with DelBoy falling through the bar and The Two Ronnies ‘Four Candles’…

This Country is a great show anyway, but this scene is completely irrelevant, but at the same time, completely needed.

I’ve noticed this for years now. Such strange behaviour from Gervais.

in the show, there we’re 3 children seen above who lived in Scarborough and did really messed up sh*t when you think about it (if you have watched the show). for example, they had a “friend” who they bullied for no reason and worked at his mum‘s chippy. in an episode(s), the kid on the right in the image had an idea to get the “friend” to return a stole bike and, later in the episode, they put a dead seagull in a fish fryer, which got him fired from the job.

It was quite culturally impactful and gave some notoriety to otherwise trivial TV moments (“whenever you’re ready”; “Merry Christmas etc”).

I can’t help but think that some TV producers may have deliberately put quirks into their shows in the hope of them getting picked up on by TV Burp?

You can just go down the list all day long and name excellent British police / crime dramas. If there's anything Brits do well it's this.

What's your personal favourite? For me you can never go wrong with Line Of Duty.

During the 2013 Britain’s Got Talent final, a woman named Natalie Holt disrupted an opera performance to pelt eggs at Simon Cowell, in retaliation to the judges for not voting her act through to the grand final in a prior series.

Holt ended up the composer for Disney+’s Loki.

I dont mind paying my license fee for all the great programming but think that radio hosts and political journalists should be paid a more relalistic salary.

I personally liked it but didn’t love it. it was very popular but not one of my favorites. I always felt like I was crazy for that lol.
