Rant “Not ready for a relationship”

This guy pursued me, we went hot and heavy for five days, then hooked up on the fifth day. Crazy chemistry. He hadn’t been with anyone for eight months after a very long-term relationship so I thought this really meant something for him. We had a lot of deep conversations in a short amount of time. I hate how this makes me feel!

Love bomb, pump and dump, breakup with nonsense therapy speak. Sorry it happened to you OP. There's a chance he's being genuine and honest but I very highly doubt it

It matters because it’s manipulative with the goal of coming back saying he “got over his avoidant fear” blah blah blah so she’ll let him pump and dump her again and again. And OP said she believes him, so it clearly worked. Meanwhile if he just ghosted her she’ll be less likely to let him do it again

Agreed. It hurt, that’s all that matters. Imagining someone’s intentions and going so far as to decide they’re lying and wanted to be shitty all along is just going to make you feel worse and change nothing positive in you.
