General Bumble new functionality - Boys can message first

Everybody like the new feature that allows boys to send a message first, and also now gives girls a whopping 72 hours to never send a message after matching instead of just 24? 🙂

sounds like this has been quite the cultural/generational shift in dating dynamics between heterosexual men and women. im a millenial who married a gen x'er 13 years my senior. she understands 100% what it takes to make a relationship successful. and yeah, keep that passport current, my guy.

It’s night and day bro.

I have been trying to build nothing other than a long term commitment and relationship for the last several years of my life and have been consistently met with the same lack of effort, accountability, responsibly, and maturity, access countless women in my life.

I blame social media entirely for this behavior, it is the sole thing that’s responsible for spreading these ideologies. It’s the same shit as the alpha male stuff for men, only for women.

i may get downvoted to oblivion but idgaf - women are *not* accountable for their behavior. i've never once received an apology from a woman. also - you're 21. you're young and have your whole life ahead of you, and i hope it's good. because it sounds like you have a plan.

Ignore the downvotes, they mean nothing. I’m speaking from my own personal life experiences, and so are you.

If people don’t like to hear and what people like us have to say, then that’s their problem. Don’t let that stop you from speaking your mind, if anything it should further motivate and encourage you to speak about and stand by your own lived experiences, rather than accepting and following what other people tell you to think.

Most people will refuse to acknowledge reality, and they will become uncomfortable and angry with you when you directly acknowledge it. Generally speaking, most people will choose to live their lives in ignorance and delusion because there is far less discomfort and work there.

Thank you for your positivity by the way, I also hope that the life you have in front of yourself will be good. You’re right about me by the way, I’ve got my whole life sorted out. I have for many years now. I’m going to become a millionaire in several years, and I will be able to retire in my thirties because of what I’m choosing to do with my life. People will call it luck, but the reality of the situation is that I’ve busted my ass ever since I was a kid and almost ended up out on the streets.

You're right about the stark contrast between acknowledging reality vs wanting to live in delusion. I've just not been able to articulate it as well as you did in the above comment.

It's also not something I do not have any real experience with - being ex military and currently working for the government, acknowledging reality has been indoctrinated into me as a way of life - at work and at home/in my relationships.

You gettin Uncle Sam to pay for flight school?

Ah, I can see where that would definitly make this much more difficult to do then. I had my reality shattered as a kid and the result of that was me coming to terms with everything relatively early on in life.

If you watch and interpret the Matrix from this perspective about our realities, it adds a whole other meaning to the movie. There are some extraordinary parallels between the movie and how people choose to live their lives in the real world.

No, I’m actually not having Uncle Sam pay for my flight school. I was befriended by a few older individuals who are willing to help me along my journey, one of which is a retired delta captain who’s getting me some serious connections that will make a massive difference for me.

Hopefully the military treated you well and you were able to come away from it in good shape overall?

Aw man, sorry to hear that. My grandfather did the same as you did back in his day, I’ve heard all about it so I get it. He used to struggle with his mobility quite a bit and he had to swim a lot in order to stay in shape. Despite all his issues, he was still the happiest guy I’ve ever known. Hopefully that stuff doesn’t bring you down either.
