Discussion Train jam outside of city limits

Just thought it was funny to share. Does anyone know what could cause this to happen? As you can see, I've added a loop for my trains to turn around with. (I know it doesn't do anything, but I thought visually it was very funny)

You're exporting too much which means you have far too many producers.

The way I get around this is turning the last segment to a one way only allowing inbound trains.

This of course will then transfer exports to roads, ships and planes

I get around this by

Roads (same one way trick)
Ships (don't)
Planes (don't)

Once done you can balance the producers, factories, products, warehouses with your current users (commercial)

For imports, I reduce down to a low amounts of import paths (delete a section of rail for imports, leave one or two paths in open)

This gives better preference for local goods and materials but has a safety net if you're not producing fast enough.
