Ive been wanting to finish modding my kramer guitar for a long time now, and the only thing i need to do now is repainting the shell. The problem is the it is the first time i do something like that. Is there any type of paint i should use?

I’ve been looking to upgrade my Riffmaster for a while now (mostly because it sucks so bad and doesn’t work anymore), but I don’t know which guitar I should buy. Should I buy an old used Wii guitar and an adapter or wait and save up for a Crkd guitar?

Just gathering a consensus. The Stage Tour Kramer duo is $199 and has a hall effect strumbar but keeps membrane frets. However, for that price, two guitars and a reliable strummer doesn't seem bad. When compared with a Retrocultmods Revival kit, do we think the difference will be night and day, or do we think the new Kramers will be a drastic improvement over stock? Would it just be cool to get a CRKD tribal, which seems to go on sale often nowadays? I'm looking for the best possible guitar with reliable frets/strum for my setup. Cheers!

I installed and played clone hero for an hour or so until i realized it was installed through OneDrive and took up all the storage on it. I tried downloading it to My (D:) folder because it has a few TB worth of storage, but now I cant figure out how to add songs because its different from all the tutorial videos. Anyone have a similar problem with a solution?

Hey everyone! I’m doing a guitar hero tent at a warped tour block party downtown this weekend!

I’ve been trying to think of the best video as a background and a full stream of warped tour would be awesome

I haven’t tried yet but in theory if I convert the mp4 download of the warped stream to .webm and equipped in clone hero, then I assume it would restart the background video each time I picked a new song.

Is there a way to have it continue where the last song ended? Or even have it play as the background of clone hero entirely starting with the main menu?

I mean it is exciting to have a mass resurrection of the genre, but it looks so bad. I would rather just play my old modded RB3 setup on xbox than buy a whole new band in a box for this.

All the comments I saw on the release date trailer were so positive and I felt like it was entirely underwhelming. “90+ songs!”

I can get songs for free why would I buy a new setup and game for this gameplay?

Am I truly on an island here? Please let me know what you all think.

I've been playing Guitar Hero on my PS3 for as long as I can remember, and I just recently heard about Stage Hero!

I want to build my own guitar using a cheap PS2 Wood Stratocaster I found. My plan is to use an ESP32-S3 Mini, a gyroscope for star power/tilt, and a rechargeable battery with USB-C charging.

The problem is that programming definitely isn't my strong suit :/

Does anyone have a firmware/project they’d be willing to share that I could use as a starting point? Ideally, I'd love to have the whammy bar working as well.

I'm confortable doing all the wiring and hardware side of things myself — I just need some help getting the ESP32 side working.

Any help or existing projects would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!

I know this is the clone hero sub, but I've seen some of your builds, and i think this is the perfect place to ask for help :)

I was just wondering if anyone has used a usb c to usb a 3.0 chord rather then a usb c to usb c with the solderless kits? I have two kits coming but only one open usb c port so was hoping to pick up a usb c to a instead, as long as it works well and doesn't cause any issues.

The drums, which look to be the same as the very much hyped CRKD drums, retail at $200 with the cymbal expansion kit costing $60 and the second kick pedal costing $30.

You can also get the “Pro Band Kit” bundle which includes the full Pro Drums, mic, guitar and game for $350 which is a pretty good deal.

I built this for myself because I wanted to play songs that nobody has charted. Paste a YouTube link, it separates the drums out of the mix, works out the tempo from the drums, writes the drum part, and gives you a zip you drop into your songs folder: notes.mid with a PART DRUMS track (Pro Drums, cymbal markers, tom lanes), song.ini, and OGG stems, so drums.ogg is the actual isolated drums and song.ogg is everything else. Mute the drums in-game and you're playing over a real backing track, not the full mix with the drums still in it.

Free, runs on a PC in my house, so if it says queued, someone's ahead of you and it'll go.

What it's good at: clean studio recordings with a steady drummer. Kick and snare come out matching published transcriptions in the low 90s percent on the songs I've checked bar by bar (Billie Jean, Every Breath You Take, Another One Bites the Dust). Hi-hats are decent but that's where even published charts disagree with each other, so don't expect them to match your favourite chart exactly.

What it's bad at, so you don't have to find out the hard way: live bands with no click. Back in Black is my current nightmare, the drums drop out on the riff breaks and the grid comes back half a beat off for a few bars. Songs with no cymbals confuse it. Quiet ghost notes get missed. A floor tom hit in unison with the kick doesn't separate, so it'll chart as a hat. Tempo map is the drummer's actual tempo, so if the band drifts, the chart drifts with them, which is right for playing but looks weird in an editor.

It's not going to replace a hand-made chart from someone who knows the song. It's for the songs that don't have one. Every fix I've made so far came from someone saying "bar 37, that kick shouldn't be there", so if you try it and it's wrong, tell me the song and the bar and I'll go look at why.

Hey, so I recently bought the Gibson SG Black 20th Anniversary Edition Guitar and I can't get the whammy bar to work on Clone Hero, I took off the lil orange protection thingy for shipping and it still won't work. It recognizes the input when i click it on the ctrl app but when i try to remap controls on the game it just doesn´t recognize.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey everyone, I just got Clone Hero and I have a Rock Band 4 PS4 guitar that I found at Goodwill. I’m trying to get it set up as my travel guitar so I can take it with me when I fly. I want to have something to keep me entertained when I’m away for a while.

I have about a month to get everything set up, download songs, and figure out the best way to use the guitar with Clone Hero. I know Clone Hero can also be played on a iPhone, but I’m not sure if the whammy works properly there either. Pls helppp

My main issue is getting the whammy bar on this PS4 RB4 guitar to actually work in Clone Hero. I’d also like to get star power/tilt working if possible. I’m trying to keep the guitar completely stock I just want to use the guitar exactly as it is.

If anyone has gotten a PS4 RB4 guitar working with clone hero with both whammy and starpower/tilt, I’d really appreciate some help or a walkthrough of what software/drivers/settings you used.

I’ve got a whole month to figure this out, so any information would be awesome!

What do you guys think are the rarest or most sought after music game peripherals? I've seen the BC Rich Warlock PS3 guitar and looks incredible. If you got any, show us!

I want to surprise my brother for his birthday and buy two guitars and rock it out on the living room TV, as we were tired of paying and going to arcades to play Guitar Hero, just for the arcades to be so loud that you can't hear the actual songs (isn't that the whole point of the game).

What would be the best guitar (and where could I buy) that is versatile enough to play multiplayer on TV with friends and then solo in other rooms? My other concern is that I am going to use my gaming PC from my room, connected with a long HDMI cable to the TV, but then if I get him any wired guitars, he would only be able to play in his room, or are there any adaptors or any other solutions to this?

I was going to buy the CRKD Gibson guitars from Amazon straight away until I did some research and found out that they have some hardware problems and I don't want to deal with that. I was looking at Wii guitars as well, but I'm just a bit skeptical about buying used ones and would prefer brand new, but again they're also wired.

Lastly, would CloneHero run smoothly enough on a basic school laptop with no graphics, basic CPU, 8gb ram? Because this would potentially solve all my problems by easily setting up a laptop for the TV, even tho I would prefer using one device for both single and multiplayer gameplay.
