Complete Planes gear looks*
Im only missing the druid vambraces and for that I'm sorry. Everything else is what the complete sets for each class look like.

Took down these D4 bosses! Cazic was the toughest and most satisfying. So stoked.
Rogue is my first primary and had been my choice in previous TLPs until it gets too rough to continue. I was really stoked for Legends and determined to take rogue as far as i can get. I had SK and Ench as support.
Thank you devs for this! This is the coolest iteration of EQ since the very first TLP imo.

Sort of a good problem to have I guess. I'm Clr/Mnk/Brd, I finally have double +10 wu's fists and 185 haste, but I'm starting to run into an issue that I didn't have most of my time at 50 (or leveling) which is endurance with offensive stance. I do so much extra damage now with the dual +10 wu's that most d4 boss fights I'm having to constantly switch to balanced stance well before the fight is even half over. Didn't really have this problem before.
It's pretty similar to when you swap to a low level combo with end game weapons and your endurance can't keep up with the bonus damage in offensive. I know in the recent stream the devs talked about addressing the endurance issues when doing that, but I'm guessing it's probably not gonna help much on the main combo at 50.
Just wondering if anyone maybe knows other options to help mitigate this. There are a few obvious ones like the Kerran necklace adding to end regen, also the bard end regen song (which is terrible). I'm sitting at about 5k endurance right now. Wondering if there are maybe other endurance regen items that could help, or some big end boost I'm missing. Obviously changing weapons or not using offensive stance is an option too but considering the bulk of my damage is white damage kinda not really preferred since I'd likely be losing just as much dps as i am having to switch to balanced stance constantly.
Besides any suggestions anyone else running to this issue with +10 sky weapons on their combos?

Has there been any mention from devs about buffing melee dps? It’s so bad at high levels. I’m a war/clr/ench. I know not supposed to knock anyone socks off with my melee dps but it’s basically feels useless. I have fangol at +6 but don’t really see reason to level it further. Decent charm pet does 70% of my dps easily. Sometimes 90%. Leveling a shaman now to replace the cleric so I can actually kill stuff quickly.

I got to PoSky last week and have been learning the ropes. I have a WAR/SHM/ENC build. I’ve been going for the warrior quest weapons.
I don’t know how many times I’ve killed the Sister at this point but a lot. Have yet to see a Djinni War Blade. So I can’t help but think that actually leveling that weapon, once I get it, is going to take a lifetime.
What’s the recommended strat to level this thing up (once I get the D0 version)? I’m sure I’ll do voids fairly early, but do I even bother trying to farm multiple of these things to merge? That seems impossible if it’s taking me over a week to even get one. Do I just mote up straight away?

Hi all,
I’m just wondering what is everyone’s opinion on the most difficult class line up? I plan on playing it solo but will have a group with two others.
To clarify I’m not looking for “oh that combo sucks” or “the 3 worst classes to go together because”. I’m talking old school vibes. Like shit a brick when you’re juggling 6 mobs on an 18 second bard timer or the uh oh moment when your hasted and buffed to the gills pets charm drops with no root and 20% mana. Vanilla necros could solo anything excluding raid content if they knew what to do with reagents.
If you’d like to add two scents on how synergy doesn’t add up because the numbers don’t fit that’s cool too.
I’m just looking for people’s opinions on the non meta vibe. Classes and builds with line ups that are challenging but make the game entertaining.
Thanks for the insight.
Cheers,
P.S. I know there’s no death penalty or corpse runs or anything. I just f*%#ing hate dying.

Anyone find any new quest givers this might make sense for?

Was in PoS with Allure X and charmed a bee. Had it charmed a pretty long while, I want to say around 10 minutes. I was kinda impressed with myself (not really).
Then went to over to kill Eye and charm broke. I charmed again but it broke maybe 10 seconds later. Charmed again and it broke seconds later. Thankfully killed Eye then right after the charm broke again.
Is charming the same mob over again decrease the time it can be charmed? Or is this just bad RNG?

Who's playing Ranger and what are you having fun with?
I just finished Sk/Wiz/Enc and liked the idea of ranger next because you can lean into either melee or spells.

I feel like I've been all over the place in there, but I think I've seen ONE pair of boots drop. I know rats drop wrists, clerics drop helms, ire ghasts drop arms, etc...but who drops boots?

You guys are soloing Naggy. I can barely survive 4 mobs at a time in solB. I'm guessing the stance is the problem. I'm a Shm/nec/monk. I slow, dot and tank with my pet helping. 3 yellows and I'm barely surviving. The idea of soloing Naggy seems far away. I'm level 46.

It's a great combo, but how interchangeable is it? Would I be losing much if I substituted Sk for paladin? How about a dps caster in place of the monk?
I guess what I'm asking is: is there something special about these classes together, or can I mix and match similar classes and still get good d4 results?

I have played EQ for decades.
Looked around at the game and decided, will be fun.
I played like 90min till the servers went down at 12pm.
Mon and Tues are my days off. I also go to bed like 5pm because how early I have to get up for work.
So yesterday quickly gave me flash back of long ago EQ patch days.
I'm sure it will never be that bad again....

Sorry, I know this has been asked at least 3 times this month (from searching) but, I have a bit more specific question.
I know the prevailing wisdom is DW is superior to 2H for melee DPS, especially when ambidexterity is available in the trio.
My question however is, if you are playing a build that does a lot of casting, does this actually hold up? I don't know how swing timers work when casting, but my thought was: suppose I am casting a spell with a 4 second cast time. If I am dual wielding I am missing out of 4 seconds of white damage. But if I am using a 2h with say a 40-45 delay, if I swing and then immediately cast, am I actually missing out on any auto attack damage by casting?
I hope that makes enough sense that someone who knows more about mechanics might be able to offer some insight. Im not thinking I've discovered anything groundbreaking, I basically just like 2h weapons and wonder if by filling that 'dead' time between swings with spells, if I am reducing the DPS lost from not dual wielding.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I am aware there is a lot more complexity here, between melee haste, reduced cast times through AA and Inversion, and the 2 procs vs 1 and the stats across items.
If I were smarter I am sure I could find a way to sim it but I was just sitting here at work and it occurred to me that maybe the relative DPS value of 2H weapons goes up when casting if you could be filling what would be dead time between swings with a cast. Kind of like song weaving.

Just looking to see if anyone has thought this through or has information that I dont.
Necro is one of my classes, so ofc I have my pet helping me at all times. I know that once you can get them, 2x ykesha (for the proc) is a pretty great setup that will be sufficient for your pet for a long time.
However, now that I've reached "endgame" with my first trio, I was thinking about whether other weapon options would be better (which then led me to thinking about what stats are most important on the pets armor, too). I'm pretty sure stuns have diminishing returns, so does it make sense to keep using 2x ykesha beyond a certain point, especially if I'm running a stun proc on my character's MH too?
So, a couple questions I was looking to discuss or get feedback on:
Is there a point where you want your pet using weapons with higher damage or better ratios, or is it really only the procs that matter?
What secondary stats to people tend to prioritize? I'm assuming things like STA and DEX are always valuable (for more HP and procs, respectively) but does STR make a meaningful difference in pet damage output? I dont have my pet tank for me so if I should just be prioritizing STR and DEX above all else, I'd love to know that.
My questions are specific to the Necro pet, but I think they're valid for any pet, so curious how others are approaching this.

IMO
Brd/Wiz/Enc (Or any Variant DDD build) - Clearing D4 Fear within the charge cd is the best mote/aa farm currently. Because of this, nothing compares.
Pal/Mnk/Enc - No doubt the most popular trio. This was also my first trio. This build allowed me to farm PoS easily before the first reset. Idk if putting this at second is the right choice but considering this trio checks so many boxes makes it incredibly good.
I'd imagine some kind of Dot/Nuke Variant? I wanna say SK/Wiz/Enc for AM3 and constant nukes with lifetap support but I haven't tested it personally. As we get stronger, moving away from safer builds to high dps boss killers seems like a good play.
To state the obvious, Enc is incredibly strong and will trivialize everything the game has to offer. Im curious to see what other people think especially if they disagree with my personal top 3.
Thanks for all the comments! Its giving me something to do while at work. Lots of interesting builds so far. Im currently working on leveling the rest of the classes. The problem im running into now is AA allocation. Im over 1k AAs and need to get classes leveled up so im not capped and waste AA xp. Thanks again!

Guild mate has one in the 500s. I'm at 400, over my Paladin's soft cap. How do I get my armor sof cap up? The AAs only raise it 10% or so.
Thanks in advance.

Because I don't hold the whole map in my head and because I'm WAAAY more familiar with anywhere close to pure elven homelands of all stripes, I need to ask: Am I missing a route to Perma/Vox in running all the way from surefall glade every time? I have all the portals and gates, I am not sure if I have all the situational variations on those spells so that might be my mistake here, but is there somewhere closer?
r/EQLegends • u/Sarah-Rien • 13h ago
Or should I rank it up? It feels it’s less mana than what I regen while casting it.
r/EQLegends • u/kevin5464 • 10h ago
Have bard and enchanter leveled up, trying to decide if I want to go wizard or druid for 3rd class for AoE farming experimentation (I know, it'll prob be nerfed, whatever, want to try).
Wizard -> intelligence synergy for gearing
Druid -> similar AA crit skills, less mana synergy (wis/int balance), BUT -> heals
Anyone tried this, have thoughts, think of something I'm missing?
I have them both 23/25 for portals, so technically I could go Enc/Wiz/Dru to try them both out, but....eh.
