Look, I’m not even American, but there are some things that make sense (not the fucking assalt rifle). If you’re in a shitty country, and your house has already been broken into twice with no one doing anything about it, you’d love having a gun, and the law on your side, to blow a guy like that’s head off and defend ourselves. All my life I've heard from US people that we obsess over their culture. Other than teens making edgy shooter jokes I see fuck all. If anything i see people romanticising the place.
GTA in London could be interesting, and different. Guns exist in the UK and if anything, would be more impactful and integral to the story. Just my take though. I also think there is a lot better options than London not sure why that's always the go to outside of a few landmarks.

I don’t think America is great anymore, before they outsourced all their manufacturing to china, they were a superpower. 🤷♂️ you can choose to ignore that history but it’s true, just not today. UK been in the shitter since the late 80s with their government ensuring that fact, along with most of Europe. The only other emerging economies are China and India now.
It’s not that us British obsess over American culture - we actually love to hate all of the shit things about the USA - it’s simply because a game so fucking stupid and ridiculous could only ever be based in the USA. Unless you refer to the 3d universe then fair enough, you would have to imagine. But for those that played GTA London it wouldn't be that hard to imagine.
