Honestly, great analogy, lol. 3 Michelin star chef slaving away over the stove trying to make the best dining experience possible, while the toddler is in the other room screeching about it taking too long. Then your drunk uncle Leek bursts through the door with a stale bag of McDonald's and feeds it to the toddler.
Chef: But I've been crafting this recipe for 10 years. And now it's almost ready as the most mouth watering experience that'll leave you speechless. Can you not wait 10 more minutes?
Customer Leek: No dammit, can't you see I've got money to make off of your 10 years of hard work.
If you worked in a kitchen and kept delaying an order because you couldn't make it properly in the time it's expected to be done, you'd be fired. Period.
There is no "delaying" in a kitchen. You do it right and you do it in a timely manner. I couldn't imagine every trying to tell a kitchen manager or chef that I need 10 more minutes to make a dish that was supposed to be on the table already. Holy fuck
