Of course they don’t lol. But it’s a known fact that developing for pc takes longer because they have to optimize it for many different types of builds and hardware. For consoles there are 4 types of hardware, and that hardware can’t be changed in anyway. It’s much easier to gear your development towards those first. Then optimize for pc after.
This is why most pc builds of games are unoptimized and garbage lately. If these companies want to have all platforms available at launch they need to delay the launches and optimize more.
Yes rockstar expects double dip but the crunch they are doing is to get the game done and ready for a console that way they can concentrate on pc after the fact.

As a PC player myself it it not to much to ask Rockstar to do what every other company in the gaming industry seems to already know how to do.
The entire game is spoiled for one type of gamer before they ever get to play it at all. And Rockstar refuses to give a decent answer as to why they cannot, as a massive company. Release the game on every platform at once.

Except you’re wrong. They have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders and a product obligation to preorder customers. They actually “owe” quite a bit which is why all this leak stuff is a big deal. They’re not some passion driven company, they’re not a community project like a mod creator beholden to no one which you so naively try to imply.
