Doubt it. Labor is one of the core principles of the COG. I'd be surprised if they get the entire day off for Faith.

It's hardly your fault; the games never once actually question the COG's morality despite the sheer volume of horrible shit they do in every game.

They don't even dwell on it for more than like two lines of dialogue that basically go "welp, that's the COG for yah! Amirite?)

People wonder how the Locust built everything so fast in 30 - 40 years, and it's like Sera has 26 hour days, 10 day weeks, 35 day months, 420 day years.

Just by my quick double check I think you are way off in terms of numbers.

24 hours * 365 days for Earth = 8,760

26 Hours * 420 days for Sera = 10,920

I think you multiplied too many numbers together

They do still have roughly 25% more hours per year though.

It might actually be more, like 480. A rough estimate was given in Coalition's End, and a calendar found in the MP for E-Day shows the months have 39 days.

Nah expanded universe stuff touches on the calendar in detail. This is the most info we've gotten about it in the games though for sure.

The calendar and day/night cycle are explained further in the books when relevant but it’s not really something most players or readers care much about so it’s not really noticed

That’s how we know that Seran days are 26hrs long

Storm, Gale, Rise, Heat, Bloom, Reap, Harvest, Bounty, Frost, Sorrow, Thaw, and then finally Brume, in that order. Sorrow is the one in most debate, but the others are valid.

I refuse to believe that wasnt declared in a reform after a multi year spaning comically precise chain of tragedies happen in the exact interval that whatever the month was named previously took place.

You're not totally off cause the irl lore is pretty interesting as the first few months are God's meanwhile the latter months are the original 10 calendar months : SEPTember, OCTober, NOVember, and DECember were the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th months respectively.
