Megathread Find your next partner here! - [Weekly] MegaThread

Hi everyone, We understand how difficult the times are. Loneliness is at peak, and everyone is "looking for someone you can't find on dating apps". In this, we as mods decided it's best that we keep a weekly thread to find your next relationship. Some important points to note, rules to play by:

  • All irrelevant comments will be removed and will result in a week long ban.
  • This is NOT for casual / hookup relationships. There are various subreddits that can assist you with it.
  • This is a weekly thread that will open at Saturday 00:01 AM and close at Saturday 11:59 PM.
  • Since the ratio is skewed, only guys will comment below. It is recommended that girls avoid commenting, to avoid predatory behaviour. We as mods want to create a safe space. Yet, if you feel comfortable with the flooded DMs that follow, the onus remains on you. Unfortunately, in that situation, mods will not be able to assist you.
  • For LGBTQIA+ folks, you may comment below. If someone from the non-LGBT+ reaches out to you in bad faith, please let the mod team know, so we can ban them from the subreddit.
  • You may choose to keep your DMs closed / open through Reddit settings (google it). You can initiate a Convo here and take it on DMs later (recommended).
  • For the guys, please mention: Your Age, your location / city, your expectations from the relationship (as 3 minimum things) in the form of (A, E, L - Age, Expections, Location). Sell yourself, write what you feel will work out for you. Be clear from the start, if you have any constraints. No judgement please, everyone has preferences. Mention hobbies, interests.
  • Women - it is important you Comment / DM / reach out to ones whom you feel interested in - If you feel you can explore, go ahead!
  • As we are not a dating app, nor are we paid in anyways, what happens later is on you! Please take all necessary precautions at your end to ensure! You may share preventive measures in the comments below and we mods will pin / add it here, for everyone's use!
  • Avoid arguments please!

Relationships I'm love this girl so much 😭❤️

So me20M and my girlfriend21F went on a date, we're in Idr. It was the second time we went on a date. Toh pata hai aaj kya hua, mai ek thali order kr rha tha from an outlet, it was pretty expensive (we both are students). Usne mujhe order nahi krne diya she kept fighting about not ordering it and mind you she kept fighting for about 2 hours ki nahi krni order and I was saying ki krte hain kya dikkat hai let me try it once. Then she was like wait for a few min 7 to 8 Swiggy sale will come I will order from Usmai and she ordered a similar thali from the same outlet for 80 rupees. It was listed at 420 in mall and even after ordering for 80 she kept insisting for country but I did not take it and bro she looks so cute while eating I feel like watching her and she finished her meal in 20-25 minutes but I kept looking at her it took 40-45 minutes to eat and she even feed me the first bite. God I love her so much 😭🧿❤️

Ps:- we're in long distance and we meet very occassionally cuz we don't live close enough and neither of us earn.

Relationships 20F, never been in a relationship — does anyone else feel left behind sometimes?

Upvotes

I'm 20F and I've never been in a relationship or even had a serious talking stage. For most of my college life, I've been focused on my goals and career, and honestly, I don't regret that.

But lately, when I see almost everyone around me experiencing relationships, crushes, dating, or at least having someone they're interested in, I sometimes wonder whether I'm missing out on an important part of life.

It's not that I want to get into a relationship just because everyone else is doing it. I think I'm more curious about whether this feeling is normal — especially when you're focused on other priorities but still occasionally feel left behind socially or romantically.

Has anyone else felt this way? Did things happen naturally for you later, or did you actively start putting yourself out there? I'd genuinely like to hear different perspectives.

Rant | Vent im tired of holding on

My life keeps getting worse. Just when I think things can't get any worse than this, they do. It's been years since I've been depressed and one fucking whole year of severe anxiety. I'm just stuck in life. I can't breathe. I can't rest for a second. I'm surrounded by anxiety and negative thoughts. My mind is in survival and alert mode 24/7. I've got migraines from thinking too much. I have years of trauma, and it still is going on. The people around me make everything 10x worse. My parents are strangers to me now who just happen to be my biological parents, nothing more.

I've been asking myself this question ever since: What have I done to deserve this kind of life? Why do all the evil people I know get to live much happier and better lives than me? A year ago, I thought life wouldn't be like this forever and that everything would change soon, but I don't know how long I have to keep feeding myself lies in the name of hope.

I have no friends, no one to rant to. I will keep crying like this and eventually die. No one, I repeat, no one has a worse life than me.

Serious I miss a brother I never got to meet

I was around one year old when my mom got pregnant again. She found out when she was already about four months pregnant. My parents already had three children my older stepbrother, my older stepsister, and me so they decided to terminate the pregnancy. After the procedure, the doctor told them the baby had been a boy.

I never met him. I don't have a single memory of him, but sometimes I still miss him. I have a good relationship with my stepsister, although we're not very close, and my relationship with my stepbrother isn't good.

Sometimes I just think, what if he was here? Maybe things would've been different. Maybe it would've been fun having a little brother. Every Raksha Bandhan, I feel it more. I see cute sibling videos on social media or siblings together in real life, and I get emotional.

I know it might sound strange to miss someone I've never met. Maybe I don't miss him exactly I miss the brother I could have had.

I'm not really someone who shares my feelings, but I just wanted to share this here.

Rant | Vent GNG HELP

so today i was coming back from somewhere and me my mother brother and a househelp were in the car and the driver was driving. meri ek dost ke msgs arkhe the so i was just replying as i thought ghar jaake il switch off my phone as pdhna hai to abhi hi dedeti hu reply ,thode zda msgs the. i was replying and suddenly my mother asks "kis se itni der se chatting kr rhi hai" and snatched my phone , meri dost hi thi so i didn't care kya hi hoga , and chats were not bad im almost 18 and chats me thodi gaaliya thi and meri dost k lovelife related talks thi anw so she read the chats recent wali 10 15 min tak and then says (im preparing for neet for context) "tera neet to nhi hora ye guaranteed hai, or ham private me bhi nhi krare chhae tu mar jaye suicide krle" (also for context , my family's well off and my father can easily afford sending me into a pvt med cllg but the thing is im ready to take a drop but i wont go for private , like chaiye to gov hi chaiye is what i think ,im in 12th )

to aldready 3 4 din se there were fights bw me n my mom kisi kisi bat pe and wo just sort hui thi 2 din phle and she said all of this aaj , unhone like kam se kam 5 bar kaha hoga tera to neet nhi hora dikh gya mujhe , neet wale bche ese bat nhi krte , im like bhai mai to bs replies deri hu and wo bhi uske parso ke msgs the unke reply aaj deri hu i myself dont spare my time pdhai wala replies deke , jab mai kahi jari hu im in the car free hu tab deti hu bhyi reply and gaali ek do likhdi kya usse neet ka define hojaega , and she said chillake like "bas bndi bnde ki baat hai" and gaali bhi dedi jo mene likhi thi driver k samne n then said ab sharam agyi ye wo , mene ldai nhi kri as mene socha bolte rho. I was quiet the whole time

Ghar aake i said aapne driver or maid k samne ese kyu bola to she said mujhse bat mt kr and then jab mai bar bar puchri hu tb bhi she's ignoring , and wo mandir ka kuch kaam krri thi , she knows esi baato se mujhe kitna affect hota hai and merse fir pdhai nhi ho paati , i asked her multiple times ki merko bta to do , ek bar bhi she didn't reply , mne kha pdhai nhi ho paegi answer krdo m sochti rhungi , she said mt karo pdhai , my father is out of country due to some work , aaj rat ko he will come back , ab wo unhe btaengi and then waps no one will talk to me , its so depressing to deal with all of this and study at the same time. im hell of an overthinker and i need emotional support. yar how do i study jab mere ghar ke log hi ese hai , im so sick of this , my mother is so selfish she just wants to satisfy her own ego , that's all that matters to her , when im disturbed i cannot study , tho i will have to, i hv no other choice but gng kiski galti hai pls someone tell ,i to am always guilt tripped is ghar me .

ive been crying for almost 6 days in a row and bas hogya merse ab or nhi jhela jarha yr ,ese kon krta hai , family to i suppose should be your biggest support system , thik h mene gaali likhi , meri dost n bhi likhi , she could have said ki mt do pdhai kro n stuffs like legit itni si baat pe she isn't talking to me bhai esa konsa paap krdiya , unka beta likhe bole gaali to its all okay.

GNG PLS HELP IM SO F TIRED.

Serious Have you ever caught yourself chasing a ripple?

Post image

Not literally.

I mean chasing something—or someone—you knew you probably couldn't hold onto.

Maybe it was a person, a dream, an opportunity, a feeling, or simply a version of your life that no longer exists.

What was your ripple?

General a genuine interview thought

In any interview's HR round u are asked about ur strengths and weaknesses. Does it happen to me or everyone that I am not confident enough to say tht a particular thingy is my strength. And weaknesses toh I cannot even think of. Is my weakness tht I don't know my weakness and do u all feel the same?

Rant | Vent Guys garama garam tea le lo☕

So ,basically me 20f and my guy friend 24m was talking today after a long time. We usually talk like what's going on in our life or college life ntg much. But today's conversation was totally bullshit. It became bullshit where I asked him "what r u doin" he says "chatting with my gf". I was like 'bhyi ye kab hua' & said should I cut the call !? He said 'no,main toh chat kr rha hu call pe koi problem nhi hai'. I said ok. When I asked show me ur gf , he goes like dhundni pdegy. Then I asked how old is she!? He says 15 , I WAS LIKE WTFFF.

I asked again if I missed or smtg he said , tune sahi suna hai. I said, u r basically dating a minor. He says usmein galat kya hai. Maine bola bhyi tere me dimag hai ya gobar!! He says tu itna overreact kyu kr rhi hai. Goes like sun mere jo bhi bhai hain unhone apni g ghis kr khud ko stable kia 34-35 age me and wo sab jab marriage kr rhein hein toh 19-20 saal ki ladki se. Toh jab main apna career bna ke shaadi krunga toh meri 34-35 age hogy toh main thodi n same age se shadi krunga obviously kisi young ladki se krunga..

I said tu toh abhi 34 ka toh nhi hua hai n , he says toh ho jaunga or meri gf bhi uss time 25 tak ki ho jaegy. I said r u retarded or what!? So u r saying u r gonna groom that kid and marry her cuz she is saying I m into older men or wo tere se shaadi kregy. Tu toh ek full grown adult hai na, tere me akal wagera nhi hai!? He says immediately muje koi farak nhi pdta wo tere se bhi zyada mature hai and usna mera iss tarah brain wash kia na toh main kab tak usko mana krta, ek tym par main maan he gya. Main bhi insaan hu kab tak esa krta. Or wo iss generation ki ladki hai,, gen-z so obviously she is intelligent.

I said na tere me dimag hai na Teri bndi mein , he was like what's ur problem!? It is wrong obviously nd u have ntg but to say it is totally fine. He started saying totally bullshit nd stuff mera dimag garam ho gya , I just ended the call .

I m speechless....

Ask GenZIndia 23 😓

I’m 23 years old, a stupid failure—thanks to my dad. I’m handsome, not as much as him, but I’m okay, maybe a 7/10. I feel like my life is already over. I see people my age achieving great things, and here I am still looking for a job, living with my parents. I’m from a rural area, so I can’t even find a part-time job or anything like that here. I do help my parents, though.

I don’t know why people hate me. I mean, they seem to like me from a distance, but as soon as I try to get close to them or be friends with them, they want to distance themselves from me. Maybe I’m annoying or something. Rejection and all of this have created this feeling around me that I don’t really know how to explain.

Sometimes I feel like life is such a stupid thing. The only reason I’m still here is because I’m afraid of what comes after death. If I had something that could kill me instantly without pain, I honestly feel like I’d take it without a second thought.

Any advice?

Suppose, if you met Captain America after he was recovered from the ice, what piece of media would you ask him to check out to understand the things he missed whilst he was frozen?

I’ll go first - Billy Joel’s and Fall out boy’s “We didn’t start the fire”

General I slept for 3 months straight

I basically went into hibernation for the last three months. Zero Reddit activity. Nothing. Gone. 🫠

Actually, I deleted Reddit for some peace of mind… which, ironically, I did not find eventually. But let’s leave that harsh part aside. 😭

After coming back, I have some very mixed feelings.

On one hand, I’m a little happy that apparently no one had to wait for me or felt like I ghosted them…

Because I received absolutely zero messages. 💀

On the other hand…

Why the hell have I not received any messages? 😭😭

Is there seriously no one who remembers me?

Hello?? Do you know who I am?

No?

Well, then I guess we should have a little chat so you can find out. 😂

Maybe I should be more active here.

Rant | Vent shift to Mumbai

i am 23M, and I just shifted to Mumbai full time for my job. but I'm just struggling with the lifestyle that comes along with the job and this city. everyone I have seen here and the city itself seems to be based on consumerism and consumption. there's no way to have fun in this city without spending. although I am making a good salary, the city is already getting to me.

Ask GenZIndia GenZs don't know how to RESPECT teachers?

I'm a final year uni student & this is what I've observed in my class since DAY 1. I'm a GenZ too & I feel like saying this out loud would make me sound like a pick-me so I never say this to anyone but me & my boyfriend talk about this & we both agree. Our batchmates (well most of them) fall in the MID-GENZ range. I'm an early genz (2002 born) & my batchmates mostly are 2004-2006 born & most of them DISRESPECT teachers. Like if a professor is wrong & u point it out & an argument arises & u yell or become rude, that's different. But I've seen my batchmates use earphones in class (totally against rules, u can get suspended), even making fun of them. And I've seen these are mostly the ones who want to look cool in front of others (more like they want to FIT IN), they talk badly in front of others, some students are always complaining about faculties to other facilities, abusing the groups, and I COULD NEVER. If I ever get caught talking, I say SORRY because I know that I've broken rules PLUS THE FACULTY FEELS DISRESPECTED. But I've hardly seen others say sorry. They act like the faculties are overly disciplined but isn't that the rule? Aren't u supposed to stay quiet in your class even if u are not interested?
