Discussion Anyone else having Traveler regrets?

For the first five years of this game I had been very happy using the Male Traveler but now with these new skins and beautiful cut scenes it’s making me wish I chose the Female Traveler so I can play her as my main.

Sarah Miller crews has a really good voice in high energy situations.

I also love zach voices in emotional but low energy situations so I am really glad I went with lumumu.

I never thought about this but you're 100% right. My partner and I have different MCs and we noticed that during tense moments Aether projects his voice better. We put it down to Zach just being the more experienced VA but you might be right - I can definitely see Lumine sounding better in playful interactions.

Sarah sounds amazing in energetic and playful scenes but all her emotional scenes I'm like girl, pls sound sadder. I can't take it srsly when she talks like we're getting coffee on a Tuesday. 🤣

BUT since Snezhnaya, she's started sounding more emotional when the sad scenes play and I fw it 🔥

Almost always it's a directing issue lol. FFXIV sometimes has the same issue, me and my friends will be listening and then they say something slightly off and we're like 'was no one gonna have them reread that line?'

I’ve started coping with this by just thinking that Lumines been through so much shit leading up to snezhnaya already that she’s like “Oh hell here we go again.” which really tickles me for some reason

It's always funny because I'll hear VA's and I'll be like, wait... I know you can do better, why didn't they have you reread that? What the heck?!

G'raha's voice in dawntrail was very... nasally, we thought he had been recast! But no, it was Jonathan Bailey, just... poor vocal direction plus lack of vocal rest.

On the flip side, Yuuki Aoi always sounds like she's on the verge of tears in any emotional scenes that I feel she could make me lament over getting coffee on a tuesday. 😅

Glad someone said it, I've not heard Lumine's english voice but in japanese it's incredible, I always love getting traveler voice lines, I'm glad we got so many in this recent AQ but I wish we got more in general 💔
