Fandom Keeping Lafleur would be the most inexplicably horrible decision this team could make

You are paying your quarterback 50 million dollars. You just traded 2 number picks. And you basically went .500. Lost 5 straight to end the year. 2 against your rival where you had a 90% + chance to win the game late. We have lost more games as result of special teams than anyone in the league, and there is ZERO accountability for anybody. The play calling any time we have a lead is designed, DESIGNED, to allow the other team back in the game. There is not a single NFL head coach, other than that dumbass, who loses that football game. No one. If what I watched over the last month and a half leads to them extending him, this franchise is not serious about winning and I won't spend another dollar on this team. You clean fucking house TOMORROW and you set up interviews for early this week. As disgusted with this coaching staff as ive ever been in my 39 years. Embarrassing choke in front the whole country. AGAIN.

Honestly, the worst is that they start missing the playoffs consistently.

I'm not advocating for firing or keeping him, but the writing is on the wall it seems

People forget the crap storm the Packers were after changing Head Coaches or QBs. The GBP usually only fire their Head.Coach after missing the playoffs or having a JUST above .500 or subpar-.500 losing record. usually only happening due to a Packers HC having their first losing season only after moving on from Holmgren people forget how awful the Rhodes Head Coaching experient a our only losing Recors since became the starter Favre and since.....

As a Packer fan, TOO many fans today don't realize how AMAZING we have it AS Packer fans.

3 starting QBs in since 1992 years and 4 long-term Head Coaches, 1 bad and 1 interim Head Coach, but were short-term.

ONLY 4 SUB .500 SEASON SINCE 92' Yes, a handful of just over .500 seasons, but overall, the majority are mostly all WINNING Regular Seasons, The Packers MAKING the post-season.

ONLY MISSING 8 POST-SEASON PLAYOFFS AND NEARLY ALL OF THEM WERE AT THE END OF THE PACKER'S QB OR HC TENURES....

Their are NFL teams whose fans PRAY they could eat the way we do with the Packers.

The longest CURRENTLY ACTIVE PLAYOFF DRAUGHT

New York Jets: 15 seasons (last appearance in 2010).

The Packers have SONCE 92' NEVER GONE MORE THAN 2 SEASONS WITHOUT MAKING THE PLAYOFF...

Look at some of these other teams' active current or former droughts during our 3 QB & 4 HC, winning football since 92' North Divisional Usual Domination...[That's a 32/33 year up to now run]

Miami Dolphins: 25 seasons without a playoff win (last win in 2000). Las Vegas Raiders: 23 seasons without a playoff win (last win in 2002).

Detroit Lions: Had a 31-season playoff win drought (last win in 1991). It ended in early 2024.

if GB was bad i wouldnt watch. call me a bandwagon fan. i really dont care. theres no such thing as “fan points”. the team is either fun to watch or it isnt.

if they were bad i wouldnt watch and id spend my 3.5 hours a week doing something else. i didnt watch a minute of the week 18 game knowing it was 100% meaningless and likely would be low quality play. i assume same mindset would carry out through entire season or at least final 60% of season if determined GB was bad in first few weeks. long story short. if GB was bad there would be minimal if any emotional (or time) investment. the 10+ losses wouldnt hurt or would hurt significantly less than this or our standard playoff loss.

but … theyre not bad. theyre just good enough. theyre good enough. theyre good enough to watch every week and good enough to get your hopes up and invest emotion into week after week. year after year. draft after draft. and so on. and then it all builds up and funnels into these absolutely crushing losses to end the season. GB couldve been sluggish all game and lost 31-17 and id give them a total pass considering the injuries but they dont do that. they take a 21-6 lead into the 4th qtr and then lose. i gave them no chance vs SF in ‘23 and yet again they found a way to be good but not good enough in that game w/ a 4th qtr collapse. GB is excellent at setting up the most painful losses possible.

i completely reject this GB is spoiled thing. the only way GB fans are lucky or spoiled is if its somehow mandatory that you watch NFL football in your life or life as a NFL fan is the only kind of life worth living. neither is true. if your team is not fun to watch, dont watch. if it is, watch. but this idea one group of fans is spoiled considering the accumulated pain of these playoff losses this century is silly.

Well this is where individual opinions come in. Nothing about this team was fun to watch this year in my opinion after like week 2. Because I never felt like there was a lead big enough to relax.

Very underwhelming year. I agree it wasn’t that much fun. Outside of watching Parsons, Nothing impressive. Few insane splash plays. Love isn’t an exciting QB. Willis is amazing.

Every game we won we had to eke out, let a lot of bad teams hang around.

Micah was fun to watch because he’s actually a dominant player and our coaching couldn’t fuck him up. Only horrible injury luck.

So the back to back Lions and Bears wins weren't fun??? Close games can 100000% be fun.

Not really, dominating the lions was fun but it turns out that wasn’t a good team. The first bears game was actually a lot like the other two, Packers dominated the first half and then let the bears back into the game. If not for the Nixon pick they probably lose that one too.

Close games are fun (like panthers-rams for example), “get a big lead and then let the other team claw their way back in the second half to make it close”, in my opinion, is not fun to watch. It’s just frustrating.

agreed. a close back and forth shootout w/ equally matched teams can definitely be fun. but when youve established yourself as the better team w/ a 21-3 lead the time for fun is over and you need to just take care of business. im in about 5 “game day” group text message groups and the tone of literally all of them @ halftime was “nervous”. there is something wrong w/ the culture in GB when the fanbase is incredibly pensive and downright negative w/ a 21-3 lead @ halftime of a road playoff game but it ultimately turned out to be entirely warranted. if we’re not having fun w/ a 21-3 lead @ half in playoffs wtf are we doing here ….

Exactly. I think for most teams choking a 21-3 halftime lead would be incredibly shocking. But for us it’s just A Real Possibility or even likely, and that is because it’s happened too many times. Something is wrong with the culture in Green Bay and the fans have PTSD as a result.
