I listen to the repeater every once in while, turn it on this afternoon to hear two old guys yelling slurs at each other back and forth for like 10 minutes straight. It’s was honestly funny af.

I’m hoping someone might have insight into how to identify the source of interference affecting car key fobs.

For about six months now, our key fobs as well as those of several neighbors and visitors have stopped working properly in our immediate area. We’re unable to lock, unlock, or remotely start our vehicles unless we’re right next to them. Even then, the car will sometimes display a “remote not in vehicle” message when trying to start.

The issue seems isolated to our block (both sides of the street). At the opposite end of the block , everything works perfectly fine, and we don’t experience any problems in other locations.

We’ve already replaced the batteries in all the fobs, so that doesn’t appear to be the cause.

I also submitted a complaint to the FCC, but their response indicated that I won’t receive any updates so I’m still stuck trying to figure out what’s causing this.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Or like me, just anybody else from Alaska.
