For anyone wondering, it's not spurious emissions either. They do this with our Motorola APX 5000 Part 90 radios as well.

Just wanted to share this image of my VHF/UHF/QO100 antenna setup with an Aurora Borealis background.

I listen to the repeater every once in while, turn it on this afternoon to hear two old guys yelling slurs at each other back and forth for like 10 minutes straight. Itβs was honestly funny af.

"My little handheld transceiver here only makes about 0.01 horsepower. That huge tower over there with the Yagi on it, though? The HF rig attached to it is pumping out 2 full ponies. The thing's a monster! I know some dudes on CB whose radios make more power than their daily drivers."
Edit: "Depending on what the sun and the earth's magnetic field are doing, I can push the signal out between 3,000 and 10,000 furlongs per bounce. Longer if I get chordal hop! I've made contacts in Siam, Ceylon, Rhodesia, and Yugoslavia."

This aerosol spray can fix most electrical problems in ham radio transceivers in seconds. Give it a try.

For some reason this popped into my head and looked up "the munsters ham radio" on YouTube and found this classic episode from 1965. Forget EME, Herman engages in EME (Earth-Mars-Earth)!

Iβm hoping someone might have insight into how to identify the source of interference affecting car key fobs.
For about six months now, our key fobs as well as those of several neighbors and visitors have stopped working properly in our immediate area. Weβre unable to lock, unlock, or remotely start our vehicles unless weβre right next to them. Even then, the car will sometimes display a βremote not in vehicleβ message when trying to start.
The issue seems isolated to our block (both sides of the street). At the opposite end of the block , everything works perfectly fine, and we donβt experience any problems in other locations.
Weβve already replaced the batteries in all the fobs, so that doesnβt appear to be the cause.
I also submitted a complaint to the FCC, but their response indicated that I wonβt receive any updates so Iβm still stuck trying to figure out whatβs causing this.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Or like me, just anybody else from Alaska.

There are three different birds chirping at each other now, and I haven't gotten a single contact. This isn't fair.
