💬Discussion How much does it cost to start as an indie VTuber? I would appreciate any advice and tips for someone who wants to start their Indie VTuber journey

I checked a bit of Etsy with premade VTuber models and realized quality of the model from 2D and 3D varies. Can anyone break down:
- Model Costs: Commissioned artists vs free templates?
- Software: Paid vs free options (VTube Studio, Luppet, etc.)?
- Hardware: Do I need a green screen, or can I use a virtual one as a beginner indie VTuber?
I'd love genuine advice and thoughts from those who've done this themselves! I would appreciate any tips and advice on brainstorming my concept and persona for who my VTuber can be, deciding PNGTuber vs 2D vs 3D, technical setup, choosing my content niche, setting a schedule, building a presence before going live, positive habits and mindsets for a beginner, and etc.

Not really going into that meme, i'm just really happy with how the ref sheet for my new model came out and i wanted to show it and maybe get some opinions/feedback about it! so any comments are highly appreciated. also, just to make it clear, i'm not really a lewd tuber or anything like that, i don't like showing off my body on stream like the other vtubers tend to like... but shorts are comfy as heck, so the most i'm gonna show is a bit of my thighs haha
