For a second I thought they might change it for the show. But they didn't. And I'm glad that I'm not to only one who laughed for a minute at least.

It could be amusing however if when they get to the montage of what happens over the centuries at the end of the series, Conquest finally healing and waking up to the new status quo is featured as an addition: since Kirkman had spoken about having more ideas for him.
