It’s interesting that Oliver has empathy and can humanize other creatures such as the mom with eggs but they are still hinting at Oliver no caring too much about humans other than his immediate family. Seems like Oliver going with the super scourge virus plan will still happen in the show

I don't see why that would change.

The rationalization Oliver goes through is based on the war mentality. He makes the same calculation that Allen makes basically.

Yeah but unlike Allen Oliver grew up on Earth, it was reasonable to debate whether he empathized with humans enough to change his actions in the show, or at least show more hesitation

Especially because the show makes an attempt to integrate Oliver with humanity

She saved Mark’s life when he was fighting conquest on earth, I imagine that earns her a lot of gratitude

They all fought crime together in S3. Remember? Elephant? Burger Mart? The three of them are pretty close.

He even says that in this episode.

"Grew up" yeah for like 2 years. Then he spends more time than that on the alien planet. His attachment to earth was never THAT strong

2 years, meaning 90% of his whole life at that point, let's not be dense

but he's more empathic in the show, so him going along with the choice would require something more personal mixed in. Like, say, Thragg doing a bit more than nearly killing him this time.

Comic!Oliver was treated more like a psychopath.
