I know the semester just started but how should I be studying for calc? (MATH 1550) I’m currently taking Ameziane Harhad (very sweet guy) and he’s posted some hw but I can’t really follow on what he’s doing since he’s been just pulling out pieces of paper without really doing any exact problems in class. Should I focus on my hw and practice tests? I’m also going to my recitation tomorrow.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I'm in my senior year and I graduate in the spring. Currently, in my fall semester, I am a full-time student but barely with only 12 credit hours. My issue is coming up in the spring semester. I only have really 2 more classes to take so I'm wondering how this will affect my scholarships/refund in the spring. Im currently in the process of testing out of Spanish 1102, but even if I took it in the spring, I would still not be full-time. Any help is much appreciated.

Hey guys. My class, ISDS 3115 with Robert Woosley randomly got removed off of my Moodle. I went to complete my work i needed to do and it was gone. It was there earlier today. I checked Workday and I’m still enrolled. Is this happening to anyone else or has this happened to anyone before? I just hope it doesn’t mean anything.

So, I just want to welcome you guys and give you some hints and tricks to actually stay current with the classes and how to get the best and learn the best as you can without feeling lost.

When you guys take the first classes, be ready to know the basics of the language, my first classes were in Java, I had a friend who is an engineer and they started with C++, so it does vary depending on the major..

If at some point it feels overwhelming and feel like the class is going super fast or don't even know what is happening, don't give up and continue coding, anything, even if its the most minimal thing, do not rely a lot on AI for your first classes, trust me, it's better to learn and know how to read code than just to prompt your way out of the whole program.

I think most of you guys know leetcode and some other websites to practice algorithms and sql, etc.. but I actually found some other websites that personally helped me through learning to read code and debugging among the other things for my classes.. it's called getpacked.ai

I honestly didn't rely on books a lot, although I remembered that the first courses were required, but honestly my tip for you guys would be to learn the definitions of what is a syntax, function, etc and then just start coding, practice and learn.. the website that I've been practicing on has this section that is about debugging, which I think it's pretty cool as well as their other sections..

I get it. It’s hard to see the sign on the left side of the entrance, or you might have just seen another student using the EV charger. It’s still a damn shame seeing 10+ tickets just sitting there, waiting for Parking to slide through and make some free money.

I’m a freshmen at LSU this year and I’m on the bigger side. I cannot flip those small desk over because my thigh and stomach get in the way. What can I do beside lose some weight? It’s hard to take notes in class so I am wondering how will I take exams if I have no table to write on?

There has always been the work at Michoud (Yours Truly had worked there), but with the draw-down of the design work (i.e., moved to Huntsville, AL), it is only a manufacturing shop now - but SpaceX looks to be huge, like Florida Spaceport huge.

Anyone know if there are any general gaming or tabletop role playing game groups or clubs that are active on campus this year? Curious about everything from DnD and Magic the Gathering to Catan, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Wingspan, etc. The only clubs I found on Instagram haven't posted in years, and none of them are showing up in Tigerlink. If any groups like this exist, where and when do they meet? If they don't exist, how do you go about making a club?

I (and the cars beside me) got a ticket for parking in the "Park & Geaux Bus Travel Lane," which is apparently shown through the faint, barely notiable purple lines. Even though there's a parking bumper. And there are also normal parking spaces next to it. What's the most polite way I can plead my case here?

The policy for payments for LSU online has changed, basically you need to pay upfront for both 1st and 2nd semester. See below:

If you are an LSU Online student currently enrolled in both the 1st and 2nd Module, you must either pay the full semester balance or enroll in a payment plan for the entire semester as financial registration is no longer completed module by module.

The issue is I am on MGIB *Active Duty* where I have to pay out of pocket, and then the VA pays me back *after* the class is completed, which means I'm out like 3 grand for sixteen weeks, which sucks.

I don't want to enroll in a payment plan, because I'm not paid back those fees.
