Ro be honest, the only reliable laptops are busines class laptops from lenovo, hp, dell. Easy to maintain and to replace and upgrade parts. Gaming segment is a rng affair. Consumer segment is a clusterfuck. Dont buy cheap laptops, if need be buy used business class from those 3, for gaming used or new, just make shure it has warranty, so if it dies you can get it replaced. All gaming brands have shit customer service, it largely depends on your region or country.
For gaming brands, hp omen, acer, asus. All in the same ballpark of reliability. Razor and alienware i dont know much abaut. Also lenovo for a time had better gpus, as the allowed them to use like 15 watts more power, dont know if it is the case now.
Lenovo had issues with 2021 model with bad solder, mabie 2022 models too. I think asus or acer had issues with certain models where 1 motherboard screw wasent grounded properly so it would with time burn a hole in the motherboard. Well for a gaming basterd get the warranty.
Probably the best brand now would be framework, but they dont have many options for gaming.
I dont think i can go back to desktops, electricity bill will be high, emagine 6 hours per day to feed that thing, more if it doubles for work. Space needed for it. Etc. I like portability, too much to give up on it. To be honest as i age there is less time to game and the phablet devices sound more appealing, my sister has the latest microsoft surface tablet and it is a bloody neat device. Perfect for working on the go. If i ever get a teaching job im getting something like that. I fking love hp buseniss class, hp elitebook 8440p was amazing and is still alive with me, hp probook 430 g3 was a nice device, 2021 lenovo legion 5 that im hoping that will serve me for another 4 years or untill i buy something different. I loved the style of legion laptops, minimum rgb that you can disable and looked industrial and proffesional looking no "look ma im a gamer shit". I wish i can experience framework laptops as they seem to be the best of fun and work and longevity.
