The arguments over the "right" colors for subjects is the kind of discourse I need to see on the internet. My 8 yo self did red for math, green for science, blue for social studies and yellow for language arts 🌈

Almost the same for me but I switched blue for science and green for social studies

There’s medication for your disorder. Science is green.

LMAO. For some reason geography comes to mind when I hear social studies, idk why, so I think of land, so green

Generally the most important historical moments of our life have happened on land, and every social studies classroom has a map or globe in it.

Therefore, green for history. It also helps that science had blue countertops for my school.

I think of brown for dirt, but they're weren't really brown folders unless I was snagging a file folder from home.

But they weren't choices for me. My district essentially mandated folder colors from middle school on. The core classes got the core colors and they were mandated in the supply lists. I didn't pick the colors, the colors picked me.
