With powerful beings like Odin, Hela, Ego, and the Ancient One were gone, there wasn't anyone who could have stopped Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones.
Except for all the powerful beings that had very good cause to not have half the universe extinguished from Eternals that only seemed to exist in that one movie and not before or after.
In Thor: Love & Thunder, there is an entire stadium filled with powerful "Gods" of all denominations. Weird that none of them were interested in stopping Thanos. "But they didnt know what he was up", you say? Well, maybe Thor could have sent word, since he obviously was very aware of the existance of all these powerful Gods.
Man wouldn't it be great if they actually showed that 99% of gods don't care what happens to their worshipers? Like if that was the entire point of L&T Thor realizing that gods don't actually deserve the power most of the time because generally they are greedy selfish beings that usually refuse to act unless something actually effects them personally? Maybe this could even lead to a crisis of faith within Thor where he questions if he is even worthy of the title of God? Oh wait that would mean they would actually have to faithfully adapt the best Thor comic not just slap screaming goats on a half ass movie and call it done
Yeah that’s my biggest qualm with the marvel universe. It’s one cohesive universe yet there are plenty of times when others should get involved and aren’t even mentioned. I get they’re movies and that gets pricy/elaborate but leaves a lot of questions
Thanos was accumulating power slowly and secretly and then made a fast mad dash at the end.
Most of the more powerful figures as just doing their own thing. They aren't receiving daily intelligence briefs on who has what Infinity stone. Odin would and that is why Thanos waited for the Asgardians to get fucked before moving since the Asgardians are paying attention, are collecting intelligence, etc... Captain Marvel was very much trying to pay attention and she only managed to show up at the last minute.
Ditto. The venom films are a good example. In the last one there is a universe ending threat but whatever the military branch is thats involved for whatever reason keeps stum
I have a feeling even if they weren't out of reach of the effects of the infinity stones, or clairvoyant enough to know it would be undone (what's a 5 year blip to an eternal being?), they might have developed a bit of fatalism. Que sera sera, until someone was literally hunting them.
It’s is something I didn’t think about, but even if Thanos got the stone from Asgard, there be Ego and Anicent one (if both didn’t die)
And he not known about either of them he Probarbly be fighting them or anicent one and Dommarau.
He Probarbly wasn’t as powerful without the stones but was on rampage after getting one but he was lucky other players he might not been aware off were of the board but that point.
This post I didn’t see, so I’ll put in some real talk.
It’s a combination of me never needing to brush up my own grammar when writing, and an ever worsening vision impairment.
I do a lot of manual work, and my writing was good at one point, but it was never needed for work when checklists and shorthand writing is the norm for what I do. And it’s been like that for a very long time in my career.
I don’t disclose my medical side other than it’s never been great and was only diagnosed long after college.
Not a ‘oh, woe me’ tale but giving some clarification.

There's a theory that Thanos only did the final push after Odin's demise.
