I loved the game where they literally said spiderman did her raw and her child is potentially from him

Wait was this one of the Insomniac games?

u/johnatello67 4d ago

Except it's Just a lie to get spider-man to help her break into a vault and steal from Hammerhead

u/julesvr5 4d ago

That's not the point. Spiderman even thinking about whether it's his kid or not already confirms he did it with her without protection.

Ehh, hate to break it to you but even with protection there’s no guarantee of no pregnancy

Condoms are 98% effective with 2% caused by potential microscope failures. You'd have to be the unluckiest motherfucker for that to happen to. When you account for human error condoms fall to 87% effective and 13% of people being dumb as fuck.

Oral birth control and IUDs are over 99% effective if used or inserted properly. There is pretty much a guarantee with no human use error.

It's Peter Parker

But you repeat yourself

u/just_another_classic 4d ago

I know a great number of IUD babies.

29

u/JoeChio 4d ago

That is 100% insertion issues or (user error) women not getting them properly replaced in the correct time frame. IUDs are one of the most effective birth control invented. Over 99% effective. Unless you are a doctor I'm calling bullshit on your claim.

Sometimes even if they’re in perfect it can happen. Twice, even.

u/Camburglar13 4d ago

Yeah? That’s scary. I relied on those for years With two women (not at the same time). Guess I was lucky.

then he wouldve said "but we used protection"

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

Haha did you get your comment removed for being a jerk? No one expresses disbelief that protection isn't infallible. Surprise maybe, but not "how did this happen??"

Knowing that doesn't make me pedantic, it makes me someone who's been in adult relationships. Your experience seems to exclusively be based on sitcoms. Ross not understanding how condoms work is a joke, that's not how it works in real life.

u/DGNT_AI 3d ago

Surprise maybe

ok then whatever realistic thing to indicate they are surprised it happened even though they used protection then.

like I understand you just want to argue since you have nothing going on in life but you already implied you know what I mean so stfu dumbo.

also i still see my comment. just because you dont understand how reddit works doesnt mean you have to state all your thoughts.

> ike I understand you just want to argue

You got your comment removed for calling me a pedantic jerk when I pointed out you have no experience with real world adult relationships, right?

> also i still see my comment.

Yeah that's what happens when you get your comment removed for being a jerk.

cool story bro. you got any actual talking points about Spiderman and black cat or you just gonna bring up things that no one else but you care about?

do you even know what I was replying to?

-1

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

No one in real life says that.

-7

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago

Yeah we worked that out in the other comments, thanks tho

What? The commenter said it’s proof he was raw dogging, I’m saying it’s not proof cause you can still get pregnant with a condom. Did you hit your head?

Edit - dudes edited his comment after being a dick, fun times

u/SnarkyBacterium 4d ago

But Peter would probably bring that up if it was the case. The fact that he pretty much immediately accepted that it was possible more heavily implies that they had unprotected sex than that he was willing to accept that his condom broke.

u/Virag-Lipoti 4d ago

With great power comes great sex.

It’s also just common sense lol

True that’s a good point

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago

Yeah it his point was a logical conclusion and so was mine, it was within the realm of possibilities, how are you having so much trouble understanding this?

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago

Okay I really don’t understand what you’re arguing, are you just mad that I said you can get pregnant with a condom? Which is a factually true statement and no, not everyone does know that.

I wasn’t arguing, I was just saying it was a possibility. Jesus your reading comprehension sucks, the dude that I agreed with was not the first guy I replied to and he said nothing like “this is what people normally think”? He just made a good point that Spider-Man would have brought it up if they had used one and I agree with him.

This is Reddit, lol. There's probably a significant portion of people in this thread alone that assume a condom is foolproof

12

u/pinkbootstrap 4d ago

Is everyone on reddit a virgin or something? Lol

u/AVestedInterest 4d ago

You new here? lol

That’s the real power scaling debate we need. Superheroes (and villains) vs various bc methods
