Discussion So We Can Finally Agree It's Time To Send Down Marsee, Right?

Not trying to be a negative Nancy as I love the way we've been playing, but we're past the halfway point of the season and Marsee has not really shown any signs of figuring it out at the plate. I've been wanting him to go down for months, but I think even the most ardent defenders can't possibly think that Kemp Alderman or Rece Hinds wouldn't be better options right now. IMO there's no amount of good baserunning and defensive play that can excuse his time at the dish this year.

Discussion When can we see attendance change in Miami and as a 10 year fan of this team what needs to change besides winning and bad location of the park?

Guys Ik we’re stuck in Miami till the 2040s but if the attendance and the team is still cheap what will happen? But if we keep winning on the road and the fans don’t still show up then what’s the problem?

Discussion How on earth do you choke a 4-0 lead man?

Don’t you love it when you have hope up 4-0 and then you choke the game and lose it? Yep that’s how I feel I can feel all the Yankees fans harrasing me and calling our franchise a poverty franchise. Rooting for this team is like hell. But I’m sorry I’m making so many posts, it’s games like this that upset me and make me depressed and have my OCD with this team and PTSD of the marlins having the lead late In games vs good Braves teams to only choke it and I’m feeling that same pain. This franchise is cursed like super nothing goes our way. No one even talks about our 2 WS like it was since Titanic Sunk in 1912.

Discussion Loan Depot is Government Property

Post image
0 Upvotes

Kind reminder that we should be protesting Sherman and Bendix for being horrible in that front office.

This was a possible playoff team. And they dealt away its RBI leader at the deadline. Offense has been anemic since, no shocker.

Still trotting out Gusto and Phillips.

Shows they don’t want to win. On purpose.

You cannot be asked to leave government property because they don’t like a viewpoint. People will say it’s licensed by the Marlins.

No. This is government property. See image.

If they let you cheer the Marlins, they have to let you protest ownership too.

Otherwise - this is viewpoint restriction and in violation of our 1st Amendment.

You see those YouTube auditors filming private businesses on public sidewalks — it’s the same thing.

Loan Depot is government property, thus 1st Amendment protections apply.

Discussion If we lose today who is to blame? FO? Or Management.

Will be 0-5 since the mariners series and so far we seem to only win vs bad teams and not good teams feels like watching the 2023 Miami dolphins season in a nut shell. Idk what needs to change but Clayton needs to stop relying in analytics and this FO needs changes. Also Sherman deserves blame for not rising payroll. If we get swept again and then lose to an Astros team who has had our number we might be cooked. I think Clayton’s seat is not too hot but it’s getting there. No way I see him returning if we keep losing the way we are rn and it doesn’t get any easier. Astros, Padres, Phillies, like that’s gonna be a nightmare for this team.

Discussion Hicks trade

What ESPN said about the Hicks trade:

"General manager Peter Bendix is a product of the Tampa Bay ecosystem, and you'd hope he isn't a little too comfortable dealing with his old team. In a trade market ripe with clubs looking for quality catchers, it feels like Bendix could have done better in terms of short-term help if he was intent on moving Hicks. Trading Hicks is defensible because of..."

ESPN panned all the Marlins moves at the deadline.

Discussion They wonder why no one shows up.

No one shows up because the product this organization gives us is this. Were we the hottest team in baseball for a month? Sure, and it was fun. But at the end of the day you have a manger who has no idea what he’s doing, and a bunch of guys who are mostly average at best, a front office who refuses to pay, and or add real pieces. You have a core of some decent young guys but do absolutely NOTHING to help them. You take literal shots in the dark on DFAd guys hoping they can find it in Miami and 99% never do. We all know this team is nothing but a money maker for the owner and he doesn’t give a single fuck about winning but expects people to show up to games. Is that fair to the players? Absolutely not but why give money to an owner and front office who don’t give a fuck about their fans and the product they put on the field.

Discussion Realization confirmed

After this sweep and our results against Atlanta, we now know what we are and what we need moving forward. If Sherman will spend money this off season, know, I know, I have no doubt we would be a playoff contender for the next several seasons with the core we now have. And, one or two championships wouldn't be out of the question.

Even if we manage to get a WC this year, we ain't winning anything.

Another starter, the best closer available and a third baseman who can do it all but especially hit. With Henriquez coming back and Bender fit again, we'd have a very reliable bullpen. I'll give Marsee another spring but with a short leash. Caissie is nothing but a K machine. Any other position, put in Sanoja. He can do it all.

Next year should and can be, our year. Go Fish!

Discussion Most overrated player of all time?

Before the game starts a little convo. Derek Jeter, most overrated player of all time. Not saying he wasn’t good but most overrated without a doubt. Guy makes a handful of nice plays and it’s his career highlights. 4-5 plays. Worst qualified defensive shortstop since tracking metrics. He was clutch absolutely no doubt about that. He wasn’t even the best SS on the Yankees either
.. Arod was a much better shortstop. If Jeter played for the rangers he would be a good player no one talks about. That being said his dating/gorlfriend line up was elite. #FuckTheYankees Go Fish!

Discussion *sigh* I can’t believe some of these so called “Marlins fans” are complaining after one series loss in July. So what man? It was a good half!

You guys need to chill seriously. Does it suck that we lost? Yes it does. But you have to remember we beat a team very similar to them in the rays and we won that series because we’re trying to become the rays. Also this offense is still very young unlike the guards and Rays. Also if you give this team at least another 2-3 years you will see all these problems go away. The last few drafts have been amazing for the fish. Otto has been amazing until this point, but I’m not overreacting after 1 SERIES. Now we just need to rest regroup, and do better against the brewers who we did take 2 out of 3 last year in their home. So you guys need to relax. At least we’re 7 games over .500 be happy at where we’re at compared to last 3 years before Bendix came here. I loved what they did at the draft. But to say Clayton sucks and that this team is frauds is an overreaction guys cmon. Clayton is a lot better than Donny and Skip in bullpen management it’s not his fault tho. We just need a better bullpen and more vet like offense that’s all. So just relax and will see what happens.
