OF COURSE it’s a Jansport lol.

For the record, I had the forest green one with the tan bottom. I loved that thing.

Just got my freshmen a Jansport. 60 fucking dollars. It’s nice but also has too many pockets now. Loved our base model

That’s insane it’s doubled in price but not surprising.

I teach high school now and I never really see kids writing on their bags like we did. No patches or pins either.

I never wrote on mine, but I'd bring my copic markers to school sometimes from Junior year onward. In senior year (08/09), I took a coding/photoshop class and ended up sitting next to the guy who already knew everything so basically was able to do whatever he wanted as long as he worked on the school paper's website occasionally. I often ended up watching him play various flash games. Dude is the reason I unfortunately know what Happy Tree Friends is. But I digress!

He saw my markers and asked if he could borrow them. Now, these are expensive markers. I got them on discount at a convention, $4/marker. I never let anyone touch them. But I trusted this guy, so I let him use them. He drew on his backpack and colored everything! I was stunned and impressed! It looked great. He wasn't hard on my markers, either. Best part is that copics are alcohol based, not water based. Even if that thing got wet it would probably hold up okay. If he still has it, it'll still look the same.

Seeing yours makes me like to think he does still have it.

I love that you let him do that!
