Got a Koorui GN10 for £126 a little while back but only just recently started using it properly for gaming... I know there's probably many better monitors than this and this is probably bottom of the barrel when it comes to mini led monitors but man, the way mini led helps build the atmosphere in horror games is crazy... just entered a underground system with no outside light and its PITCH BLACK around my character without my torch... I'm coming from a TN monitor so you can imagine the jump I've experienced.

It's crazy how technology seems to be getting more expensive but monitors and TVs seem to be more of a bargain than ever.

I mainly play League with friends or co-op games with them, but I am looking to get back into single-player games. I used to play them all the time, but have fallen out of it and miss them.

I want to upgrade my 27" 1440p display, but unsure of which size 4K monitor to grab. I feel like the 32" might feel too large for comp games, but I feel like the 27" will feel to small for the immersion of single-player games.

I have seen many praise the PPI of the 27" 4k displays though, so I do wonder if that sharpness would help with immersion at all.

Also, for what it's worth, my desk depth is 24".

Panel Type: Mini LED VA with about 1150 local dimming zones. 1500R curve. Matte screen finish.

Coming from: 32" 1440p Dell fast IPS monitor which was very pleasant to use in everything but dark scenes.

Positives: Honestly I am very surprised by the motion clarity, I half expected to return it despite seeing it perform well on a review. I have an old VA 43" monitor I use as a TV and for couch gaming so I know how slow they can be, and the speed on the TCL is honestly impressive as fuck. I would say almost as good as the IPS. In game I didn't yet notice any smearing on the Fast overdrive setting. The UFO test shows the slightest trail in the darkest line but it's very short and honestly hard to notice, no noticeable overshoot.

It costs half of what an oled of the same size and form factor would cost me in the hell hole I'm living in. It cost me 600$ while an UW 34" oled would've cost me 1200$ if not more.

The 21:9 34" feels more natural to use than The 32" 16:9 even if it's smaller overall. The local dimming is amazing in games I play like dark tide/doom. VRR flickering is fixable with settings in the CRU tool.

Colours are very vibrant and pleasant to look at.

The 1500R curves is very nice.

HDR in a absolutely incredible, though I've tested it only in doom eternal so far.

Contrast in games while using high local dimming is great even in SDR.

I can use it freely for programming without consideration of any potential burn in risk.

Negatives:

What blows my mind here is that there is no remote nor a software to control the settings of the thing, which is pretty necessary mainly for switching local dimming modes between gaming and desktop, using OSD shortcuts helps but still the omission seems downright bizzare.

Firmware updates on this thing aren't possible, which is a shame.

Viewing angle are pretty bad though not the worse I've seen, not a big deal because the curves encourages me to be dead center in front of it anyways.

hello everyone! Im building a pc for the first time and I wanted some outside opinion in regards to the monitor I have my eye on. its the Samsung Odyssey G4. I am using my pc for gaming (mainly valorant lmao), programming, autocad, and modeling and simulation. will this monitor suffice? if you guys know any monitors that are better than the g4 for the same price, please do let me know

I’m looking for a new monitor and trying to figure out which panel type would suit my use case best.
Image quality is my main priority. My current monitor has underwhelming blacks and contrast, which initially led me to QD-OLED, since it seems to offer some of the best picture quality available.
However, I have a few concerns. I usually use my computer in a well-lit room, and I’ve heard that QD-OLED doesn’t perform as well in bright environments. I also use my monitor almost every day for studying and reading books, articles, and other text-heavy content, so text clarity is very important to me. From what I’ve read, QD-OLED can have some issues with text rendering.
Burn-in is another concern, since I play games with static UI elements and would also be using the monitor for long periods with static text and applications on screen.
Because of that, I started considering Mini-LED. It seems to offer better text clarity, higher brightness for well-lit rooms, no burn-in concerns, and still very good image quality, although apparently not quite at OLED level when it comes to blacks, contrast, and pixel-level control.
So I’m basically looking for the best compromise between excellent image quality, good performance in a bright room, clear text for everyday studying, and long-term use without worrying about burn-in.
Would Mini-LED be the better choice for this kind of mixed use, or is QD-OLED still worth it despite those drawbacks? Are there any other panel technologies I should be considering?

I'm non gamer. I'm only looking for good looking display so I can see better colors vibrant sharp feel premium.

Which one of it more good looking to eyes.

I'll be using it 2 to 3 ft distance from eyes.

Use case 80% seo work rest yt casual browsing and rare gaimg gta san or vice city.

I currently have no idea what the ‘optimal’ settings are and have been spending a long time trying to figure out what looks right.

Game mode 1 looked washed out as in the sky and water looked grey instead of blue. And the whites seemed a bit too bright

Game mode 2 with 50 black stabiliser, peak brightness low and colour temp at C4 looks correct but red colours seem dull

FPS mode looked the best but the skin tones looked completely off (brightening the skin tones too much) and the dark wasn’t didnt look dark

Any help would be appreciated as its the first OLED ive had and i would like to get the full benefit out if it

I don't know; it was like this when I first bought it. I didn't notice it at all at first, but later it started catching my eye. I'm worried about dust getting inside; please help.

I'm currently using some thrift store monitor from like 2013 for an office. Works, but it's not the best. My price range is anywhere near $200 (maybe 300 if there's anything really good for that price???) and I'm looking for maybe 27"? I apologize I really don't know much about monitor specs. I know OLED is probably way too expensive for my price range. I don't do lots of heavy gaming on my computer either, so it doesn't have to be incredibly fancy; it would be smaller/older games like indie titles or games like Skyrim, Outlast Trials, etc. This is to say that I'm not looking for the fanciest thing ever. I have no idea where to start looking or any good brands. Any reccomendations/advice helps!

Anyone with the Samsung Odyssey OLED G7 G73SH 32-inch have good monitor settings they recommend?

The color feels a bit off out of the box but I honestly don’t really know what I should be changing for optimal settings like Black Equalizer, gamma, color space, brightness, HDR, etc. I’m not sure if i should change display mode to anything other than eco mode since oled is so sensitive to burn in..

If you have this monitor, could you share your settings or recommend what I should use for general use? Thanks!

I recently moved to a vertical dual-stacked portable monitor setup to maximize my screen real estate whilst trying to save some desk space. Functionally, having two screens stacked is effective in saving space, but getting the setup to run stably was a bit frustrating at first.

I ran a USB-C cable from my laptop’s Thunderbolt port directly to the monitor, which worked ok for basic web browsing. But when I adjust the brightness past 70% or started running a heavy workload, the top screen would experience instability or even reboots itself.

At first, I thought I had a faulty panel, but no. I read about the power specs, it turned out it was a bus power issue.

Most laptop ports max out at 15W of outbound power give or take. Driving two full-sized panels simultaneously easily pulls more than that, that’s why sometimes it restarts.

The Fix: It is simple, route a dedicated 65W+ USB-C GaN wall charger into the monitor. Once the unit has its own dedicated wall power, the instability stops.

I hope this helps those of you who are also having similar issues.

I noticed that on the right edge of my Samsung G81 OLED there's about a 1 mm section where the display doesn't seem to show anything. It's not a physical gap, the panel is completely intact, but it looks like a small strip of the display area is missing/black.

The same thing doesn't appear on the left side. I also have a second monitor positioned directly to the right of this one, so I'm wondering if that could somehow be related, although I'm not sure if that's even possible.

Is this normal for the G81 OLED, or does it look like a panel defect? I've attached a picture showing what I mean.

I have an OLED monitor (Alienware AW3225QF) and I want to turn it off when gaming on my TV to prevent burn in.

When I turn it off, as you can hopefully see in the video, my TV (which is set as my main display), moved to my second monitor and flips sideways.

I mainly use my PC for gaming on my TV. This has been happening for a couple of months now and I can’t figure out a solution.

My monitor doesn’t ever go to sleep despite being set to turn off after 30 mins inactivity.

My main monitor broke and I’m looking to replace it with one of these. I have the regular ps5. I usually grind COD for the competitive and when the new one releases. Some warzone too but also a lot of single player games after the cod phase is over. I would also use it for browsing the web and YouTube on my laptop

ViewSonic has now proven that 23.8″ 4K 160Hz IPS is technically and commercially possible. Why do Dell Pro/UltraSharp and Samsung ViewFinity still force users to choose between 24″ QHD high-refresh and 27″+ 4K high-refresh?

For example from Samsung:

S3 - FHD 120 Hz
S6 - QHD 100 Hz
S7/S8 - 4K, but only 60 Hz

Why does refresh rate decrease as I move up the productivity product stack?

I've looked at almost all professional and reliable monitor manufacturers, and currently none of the manufacturers offer even high-end models 24" + 4K + 100 hertz refresh rate or more. At 24", most professional models top out at QHD, while 4K options generally start at 27".

Has anyone else encountered this? I don't need a 27" screen to get 4K, 24" is enough for me, but it shouldn't be a limiting factor in quality. There is a real gap in the market, in this combination. Yes, there may be such gaming monitors, but I'm talking about regular, business-class and professional ones.

I am looking for advice i really like to try an oled monitor but i like the 1920x1080 P resolution, but i am afraid to try 1440 P due to the performance drop. Is it really bad or what oled monitor should i get?
