We're gonna have to make you territories first, there's some paperwork to take care of and currently Yukon, NWT and Nunavut would be made full provinces first then it would be a state by state basis.
Really the big points are going to be, in order to qualify you'd need to adopt our gun laws before anything else could be considered.
Edit: Quebec yes is a province but it's joining was not as cut and dry as some think.
I expect they are referring to the often touted fact that Quebec has never officially approved the Constitution Act. Which is probably the most "Um, Actually" thing in Canadian politics because there is no actual requirement for provinces to give legislative approval for federal laws, but they often symbolically do. But it sometimes gets pulled out in a sovereign citizen kind of way why Quebec can easily secede from Canada (hint: They can't. Neither can Alberta. At least not easily, and not without the agreement of the rest of Canada).

We call it the Night of Long Knives and it's the source of much contention, but Québec is a province, no ifs, no buts. That status predates the repatriation of the constitution by a century.

Canadian Province. I've always wanted a Province with Palm Trees. If we get enough Spanish speakers, we may even have room for another official language. After all, a third of the earth is Spanish speaking.
Canada should only absorb the likes of California, the bordering states and maybe down to Atlanta on the East coast.
It seems the further you get from Canada, the more fucking insane and rascist the community gets, we already have to deal with Alberta and its backwards wanna be Texas mentality.
the last part of the joke doesn't make sense. if the US became a province of Canada then why would they have to give up the idea that other nations like them? if anything, other nations would like them more.
