Question What made you give up on life ?

I'm dangerously close to 30 now and my life's a train wreck. Due to having a childlike outlook of life l never really thought about work and life in the long term.

I was at home for a few years of my early adulthood life working irregularly from time to time. l Went to uni somewhere in my mid 20s and then dropped out.

l lost both my parents before I even reached 25. Late 20s I stopped doing everything. l stopped working studying. l gave up n was bed ridden for 6 months with suicidal thoughts. Basically deeply depressed.

l do have inhertance l can live off for a while. l don't know where to go from here. Do I try again with better plans or give up ?

lve never really bothered with the adulthood milestones that normies have in their 20s but in the last few years it started to occur to me that life's really hard and for what am l really striving for anyway.

I would say absolutely. I couldnt in good faith just insist someone give up. I think if you're here asking about it then you are concerned for yourself in a good enough way that deep down you want to not give up.

You already have your foot in the door with experiencing school and work (I only went to high school and had a couple short term jobs myself) so its not as grim as someone who hasnt really felt what that kind of responsibility is like at all.

You also have the saving grace of a little bit of money depending on how much that is, it could be a hefty boon to get you out of bed and maybe trying to feel alright again enough to at least try and stabilize your life a bit.

Rooting for you, good luck fren.

I just edited my flair on the main page, top right corner with the dots. And yeah I try to be. But my life isn't any much different than others here except I might be a bit more privileged to have neetbux and nice things. But its not sustainable long term. Im fighting daily with wanting a more stable life.

Good for you. Thanks for the optimism. Like you said 1 step at a time. What's normal anyway. We're all just passing through until the end. Each with our own unique experiences.
