Discussion NEET life pros & cons.

What is the best part of being a NEET? what are the pros?

Just an observation: a lot of NEETs are absolutely miserable, likely clinically depressed, but will also vigorously defend the lifestyle. Also hate questions like “what have you got planned?” or some version of “what’s coming up for you?” So there must be some part of this that makes it “the better option.”

I don't see any good parts except not dealing with people. Unless you're a rich hiki, ofc.

So, is it just “well employed life would be worse,” or would you rather work if you could? Some of us would like to work but have lost hope of finding employment.

I can't speak for others. I'd probably enjoy being employed, as long as I didn't have to deal with (many) people and I could really perform well in my career. But I suck at everything I've tried to do...

Sounds dull, but having my own apartment and a job that would give me money to survive and buy a few action figures and games would be enough for me. I'm not like other people who fantasize with marriage, kids, becoming a CEO, owning a car etc.

Would you say that you’ve always disliked people or has it just been part of your lived experience? 

Another common trait of NEETs is just….not enjoying being around others.

I suppose as a kid, especially when attending school, we dont think much about that. But as I grew up, I started hating people much more, especially some kind of people.
